The twitter posts might be referring to this Transformers 5 news: Michael Bay hasn't confirmed if he will helm next installment; Mark Wahlberg may pass up lead role | Vine Reporter Transformers 5: Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg Will Not Return – Air Herald
So much is in the air right now honestly I wouldn't put too much into rumors at this point. A lot depends on what sort of contract Mark Wahlberg signed when he agreed to do AoE. If he only signed a one film deal then it's possible he could be lured off to do a film he's more interested in doing since he seems to like to vary his work up. If it's a multi film deal then he's stuck until his contract is done. Bay who knows we've been hearing since the second film that Bay wasn't going to return. Although making Transformers 5 a direct sequel would be a bit weird if they didn't have Bay and Wahlberg on the film.
Hmm. If on the off chance that it's true (because frankly we don't know shit about the future of the films besides the fact they're doing spin-offs and the fifth film has two main plot lines), then let Epps and Lennox come back.
“I will pass the baton for future ‘Transformers’ movies while I can focus somewhere else.” “There’s a lot that’s unexplored, but that’s for the next director to figure out.” Oh boy. The article is claiming Mark said that, but if you look at the linked article it's Michael Bay saying that. While it's true the article did comment about Mark not returning, he did not say that. So yeah, this new article means nothing to me. I mean geez, they can't even get things right from the article they are quoting from.
I agree. There have been many times where even Bay said he wasn't returning. Multiple articles, rumors, speculations, and haterade thrown about when those "rumors" were announced, but what happened in the end? Bay returned. *shrugs* I think it's just better to wait and see when we hear about the movie actually being filmed so we all know who's directing, and who's acting.
Who the hell is this guy and why should I care about his emotions regarding Whalberg's apparent departure?
