and i also think that movie has one of the least intelligent lines; "even in death, there is only my rule!" or something like that. followed immediately by "yes my master!" both spoken by megatron.
ROTF had a lot of lines like that - lines that, if the direction was a little better, would probably still be quoted. "If God made us in his image, who made him?" was another AMAZING line, which added to the mystery of the Cybertronians in a subtle way.
I love that quote and I don't feel he undermines it really either. The Fallen is his mentor but Megatron is the military commander throughout the movie the plans are his and he's the one directly commanding the decepticons we never see the Fallen give him any orders only wisdom he is the commander. Age really takes the quote to it's logical conclusion he's just a severed head and his command is still absolute in fact by Age it would be pretty accurate to say Megatron is the Decepticons he is everything they are he shapes everything the decepticons are little more than extensions of his will huh this could be a cool Galvatron quote for 5 "there are no decepticons no cybertronian there is only Galvatron" As for an awesome quote Megatron has a few "here we are fight us now" "that is why I have no fear" "is it fear or courage that compels you fleshling" "this is my planet" and one of my favorite "who would be without me Prime" Of course Optimus can match him "fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing" "you are my friend Sam you always will be but your leaders have spoken from here the fight will be your own" "destroy the lab, destroy it all!" "How many more of my kind must be sacrificed to atone for your mistakes" "so today you stand with us or you stand against me" "You may lose your faith in us but never in yourself" and one of my favorites "I am Optimus Prime and this message is to my creators leave Planet Earth alone cause I'm coming for you" So many awesome quotes Lockdown was a fountain of them
I loved "Fate rarely calls upon as at a moment of our choosing" so much that it was the quote next to my photo in my senior year yearbook and I have it on a mug
Every time I feel like I don't want to do something i'm like I don't want to do this right now I then hear Optimus telling me Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing, I must follow Optimus's wisdoms.
My favorite is from AOE when Optimus and the others meet the Dinobots. "You just wanna die for the guy! That's leadership...or brainwashin', or something." "No...that's Optimus Prime." As horrible of a character Optimus Prime generally is in the movies, this quote speaks bounds about the concept of the character across the entire franchise.
I would normally counter your statement but I feel someone else will likely take care of that, fair warning you probably opened up pandora's box and it's probably too late to close it. I'll try to stay on the topic at hand I liked that quote but I feel Lockdown has a bunch of great lines. "Autobots decepticons like little children always fighting making a mess of the universe that I have to clean it up" "I also have a saying I don't care" "Every galaxy I travel all you species are the same you all think you're the center of the universe, you have no idea" But my favorite from him are these two "I feel sorry for you Prime you're devotion to these humans the problem with loyalty to the cause is that in the end the cause will always betray you" Awesome line right there with some meaning behind it too how often are we betrayed by a cause we believe in in many ways Lockdown is right.
I could understand that but I actually like the darker take on this the needs of cybertron outweigh the needs of the autobots using it to justify the enslavement of a whole planet what a dark twist on such a noble line.
My favorite is also by Megatron, from the first movie. Optimus Prime:*It's you and me, Megatron... Megatron:*No, it's just ME, Prime!
