You know what, let me qoute that.

Optimus space message to The Creators:

"I don't know who you are, if it's me you want, don't worry. I got a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over many centuries. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.

If you don't let Earth alone, know this.

I will not rest a single breath till I find, hunt, and kill you all for good."

Totally sounds like something Optimus would say.

Second - hahahahahahahahaha:D  I see you there boy
    :thumbs2: :thumbs2:
Third - lemme try it myself, so... "Bumblebee, concentrate on the moment, feel don't think!"

Cade: "The missile was close to your power source!"
Optimus: "We call it a spark, it is a microscopic cell that resides within all living transformers! Now stay close to me and you'll be safe!"

Yes, indeed it does. This version of him at any rate. We'll just pretend that the Taken sequels never happened.

    Me

Actually, didnt Bay say that they were thinking about someone like Liam Neeson before the first movie was cast?
But yeah. He'd be great. I like the idea of Idris, too. But I like Idris for everything xD

Someone said Bryan Cranston and I firmly believe this NEEDS to happen if, God forbid, Peter cullen passes. Idris Elba would be great as well

There is one person that can take Optimus Prime but as a young Adult; One man that can be a great equal to Peter Cullen:

    Daniel Henney
    [IMG]
BOY, When I heard him speak for the first time, he sounded like a young Optimus Prime/Peter Cullen!
He is a great actor and he is meant to be in a great heroic ROLE!

And just like Henry Cavill is the great successor of Superman/Christopher Reeve, Daniel Henney would be the successor of Optimus Prime/Peter Cullen!

There's something similar between Optimus and Liam. When Liam gets angry in movies I constantly remind myself of Optimus' rage in DOTM. On that topic anyone ever thought that Bumblebee in AOE when he kicks Stinger at KSI headquarters resembles Marty Mcfly when he gets angry when Biff calls him chicken?

As a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s, I have a certain attachment to a lot of iconic cartoon voices. Off the top of my head, I'd totally have an open mind if, HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, Peter Cullen, say, uh, becomes too expensive and refuses to do another Transformer movie...

Keith David. Deep, authoritative voice. Smooth as glass. His performances as Goliath in Gargoyles and Spawn were god-tier.

Kevin Conroy. Heh. Deep, authoritative voice. Smooth as glass. His performances as Batman are god-tier.

Liam Neeson. Deep, authoritative...ah, you guys get the idea. :)  His voice-over in the Narnia movies had some added bass, and Aslan seemed to be talking with the voice of God. Very impressive voiceover.

And (drum roll) my out-of-left-field choices...

Jeff Bridges. Kurt Russell. Vin Diesel. Think about it. THINK ABOUT IT. All three have a slow, calm way of talking that reminds me of John Wayne. Also, deep authoritative voice, smooth as glass, etc.

Moreover, something I missed from G1 was Optimus Prime's friendly, humble, one-of-the-guys tone. Not saying it's a bad thing, but all of Peter Cullen's Optimus performances since 2007 changed Optimus' personality to a godlike creature of authority, with centuries of wisdom and the weight of the world on his shoulders. And it works. But I do wish Prime could have more of his friendly, approachable tone from G1. I think Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russell, and Vin Diesel could give us some of that G1-style friendliness.

    Anyone?

There is nothing else g1 in the bayverse... Why keep using that same old dude

Maybe a younger darker voice would give prime more gravitas when he goes on a murdeous rage

    Keith David.

Peter Weller, David Sobolov or Ron Perlman might be interesting too.

I think I'm the only one that pictures Liam Neeson as more of an Ironhide character considering even my brother and his best friend picked Liam Neeson when I asked them this question.
