Dude I'm just going to say the three new bots in AOE are my favorite Autobots in the series that is not Ironhide, Jazz, Sideswipe, or Ratchet. I laughed or smiled everytime Hound spoke. Crosshairs is now in my top ten favorite TFs and I think the ass personality works for him. Drift, was pretty cool and is memorable to me, the best version of him, tied with his RiD self.

    *drawls out* Noooooo?

    Not at all.

Crosshairs was funny, even if he was a dick and a coward. But in the end he bypassed it and ended up becoming a hero in the end.

Drift's design threw me off a little bit, but you get past it with his honourable personality and his japanese poetry. Plus he was pretty cool with his swords and being a triple changer. Fastest car in the world as well as a fucking awesome helicopter? I'll take that!

Good lord, it took me a while to get used to Hound, but after a few watches, he grew on me. Being a badass with hilarious quotes and a bit of a klutz is both fun and awesome. He's obviously someone you can rely upon to back you up and keep you alive until the bitter end.

Ah Bumblebee, this movie was a turn around for me. He was cute with his hypeactive personality and his determination to prove that he was a kid who can kick your ass and have the cannons to back it up! Also I loved the fact that Optimus helped raise Bumblebee, thus confirming a headcanon of mine that Optimus had a role to play in Bumblebee's younger days.

As for Optimus Prime... I will write an entire page regarding him and his character development I doubt it would change ANYONE's mind. So really, he's gone through hell with the humans betraying him. You'd be pissed too if an entire species turned on you and had you and your friends hunted down to be turned into the next generation of robots without any sparks. So yeah, I'd say that's a pretty good reason for him to go down the deep end. Killing that bastard of a human may have been overkill, but it was fucking justified! They slaughtered Ratchet and his friends and he swore revenge upon the one who had done it! He was fucking angry and he lost control over his emotions! I understood what he was going through and his reason for killing Attinger, and I will not be saying anymore.

So really, I do not see a fucking problem at all.

Crosshairs has a strong sense of self preservation, I don't think he is a coward in any way though.

If I was an Autobot I'd be pissed too. They were banished and asked to leave the planet in DOTM after saving mankind prior to that by defeating the 'Cons. Between DOTM and AOE they were being slaughtered by humans. They have a right to have a negative 'tude against humanity. I was glad to hear OP say he was going to kill whoever was responsible for his friends deaths.

nah; i like the autobots. when they actually get screentime. although, i thought john goodman would be better as somebody other than hound. perhaps ratchet, or something. redalert maybe. when i picture john goodman, i do not think of him as a gun toting maniac, lol like he was in the movie. i picture him more like baloo from the jungle book. a big huge friendly teddy bear. even when he tries to be scary.

    THIS.
The Autobots in this movie are displayed as Badasses. But in all Cartoons the Autobots never treated each other this way with pointing their guns towards each other and brawling for minor cause.
Autobots never executed Decepticons in the Cartoons either.

Concerning Decepticons, Galvatron got way too few moments, the human made Drones are completely soulless. So the only villain with some characterization was only Lockdown.

I found their banter and inter strife one of the most entertaining parts of the movie. Much better than the usual "YAS PRIME" characterization of the autobots. Crosshairs was my favorite.

I liked Crosshairs. His design and personality were completely unexpected so that was at least interesting to me.

I hated Hound. If he is the funny guy of the group, he is not very good at it.

Drift was more or less blah but his design was fun and it was about time we got a triple changer.

This is just mere speculation but I expect the next installment to add Windblade to the mix. I'm sure Hasbro wouldn't pass up a prime opportunity to showcase her better to the public than with a live action role.

Glad someone agrees that Prime's reasons for killing Attinger were justified.

Bumblebee was kind of an ass in aoe.
I didn't like what Hound said to Drift when he spoke about loyalty.

But overall, I really like them. Aoe marked the beginning of more character development in the Transformers, I have faith in the writers. We'll hopefully not get another Jolt scenario :D

Even though he had a lot more personally than he had as of late...it was rather jarring and felt like a character de-evolution from how he behaved in the past. They could have used a new character to fit that role like Rollbar that vehicle Lucky Charms was going to have maybe?

I found it hard to sympathise, relate or see Hound as a good guy after he shot that creature on Lockdown's ship in cold blood.

I don't know, maybe the wars and being one of the last Cybertronians on Earth kind of got to him and made him a bit dickish. I actually kind of like it, because it's different than most Bumblebees we've seen.

Crosshairs was a dick, I think they were trying to go for something like rattrap but it really didn't work for me.
