Internet "news" story dated Aug 27, also reports that the Quints, Unicron and Magnus will show up. And that Optimus will die... again.

However since Bay said he's done we can expect him the directors chair. But enough with the gloom- lighten it up a bit.

 

They lost me at "more gloomier" and "according to the Gospel Herald," lolfail.

That said, if anyone thought the movies were too "gloomy" and not lighthearted enough then I guess we watched different movies. TONS of comedy in ALL of them!

 

Agreed, but AoE got kinda dark and fairly depressing.

 

You sure the news is legit? It could be another one of those rumor type information like in the past. Anyway in terms of TF5 being dark I don't think I can see it being on the levels of AOE since in there the dark ton made sense due to the situation Optimus was in and how he was coping with it so it would make more sense if TF5 wasn't as dark yet still has a level of seriousness to make sure that the stakes can be high and also to have Optimus have an arc that helps make him more like how he originally was before by having him overcome his inner demons.

 

These rumours about certain characters in the next up and coming transformers film have been circulating since DOTM, as we all know ultra Magnus was very close to been in DOTM and was switched to sentinel prime at the last minute, i think with every new movie these sort of rumours will surface until they finally are in a film the speculation will move on to another robot, take it with a pinch of salt any articles like this, I mean it's gone very quite on transformers 5 and nothing like characters, directors etc have been confirmed apart from hasbro exec saying its in pre production that could mean anything to be honest

Bay returning, Gloomy/Dark, Ultra Magnus, Unicron.... This is literally the same news story that comes out before every movie!  

 

At least they stopped the "Rise Of Galvatron" thing now that he made it in the movies haha.

I could see Bay being back. It's not like he was going to never return before only to return. Plus Bay manages to bring films in on time and on budget so Paramount absolutely loves that.

Dark and gloomy. It's possible since Hollywood seems kind of split at this point. Some creative teams seem dead set on the idea that dark and gloomy will be a big seller while other teams think that fun is going to park butts in seats. Looking at the box office over the last few years it seems like fun sells more tickets but that doesn't stop a lot of production teams from thinking they are making the next Dark Knight.

 

Quintessons making an appearance would be nice if true. What I'm waiting is reliable source telling us the Dinobots will return

 

And even then I won't be satisfied until Dinobot VAs are confirmed!

 

Even more darker again?

It's going to be in the horror genre if they keep that up.
