I find this kinda weird when the ROTF adaptation comic says that Optimus is the Prime's descendant which make a lot of sense. But somehow in the movie itself acording to what the Fallen said, it looks like Optimus is the Fallen's brother and also to the Dynasty The Fallen to Megatron:"My brother could not stop my from this" The Fallen to Optimus: - Die like your brothers - They were your brothers too So the Primes are Optimus's ancestry or brothers anyway?
The Primes are Optimus's ancestors but they are all considered brothers,be they ancestors or not,they are all Primes.So Sentinel is also their "brother" and The Fallen says "My brothers could not stop me from this".
exactly, whilr Brothers is mostly used for siblings, the term brother can be used for something else and it doesnt mean those persons are brothers, not to get into religion, but i wanna use this as an example, its kinda like how people in churches refer to each other as brother or sister, even though they are not really brother or sister.
Wait Optimus calls Megatron brother back in 07. That could mean he was supposed to be Megatron Prime. Dun dun dun!
Ha, would be cool. But Optimus only called Megs that because he and him had a long history and an old friendship. I'm pretty sure in the original draft they were actually brothers but that was changed for some reason. Anyway, megatron is prime's "brother" because they used to be good friends. The Prime dynasty are Optimus' "brother's" because they are related.
Thing is that Optimus acknowledged Megatron as some old friend and in the sequels he didn't give a damn.
I know people who still think Optimus and Megatron are legit brothers. I always thought of them originally as brothers in arms in that sense not as actual related brothers.
