The problem with that is Prime and Sentinel and the dinobots didn't really know the creators. None of the transformers (besides Lockdown and his crew) really knew much about them besides the fact that they harvested organic life from planets.

I loved BW, but I just don't see how it can successfully translate to the big screen.

I also find it funny that some of you think that any major changes to the Transformers movies is going to hinder the franchise's financial success. It's Transformers. No matter what Paramount/Hasbro throws at us, people are still going to go see it because it's a household name with an extensive history. However, the domestic numbers are indicating the novelty is starting to wear off. A new creative direction could be a good start to recapturing the interest of those who just don't care anymore.

Or the the Dinobots may be the only ones that know about the Creators.

It's very plausible we'll see more beast forms.

I think how to translate is a huge question.

Given the time period of the series you would end up with something before modern humans so that cuts out a large human cast to cut down production cost. Also a lack of product placement that these films seem to live off of. If you set the Beast Wars movie in the current era then what's the point why not just more cars and planes.

Pacing is also an issue since Beast Wars had a long time to set up big story moments. It's a long way in before surprise it's a fake second moon it's really the Earth. We have a long time to establish a connection to Dinobot.

While I don't think Beast Wars is a good idea I do think they need some fresh ideas and a fresh feel to the film franchise. If Paramount continues exactly as is then the domestic numbers will just continue to slip and I don't know if they can really depend on other markets always turning out in big numbers for more of the same.

Yeah with RID and the fact they're looking into Beast Wars for inspiration. I say its likely.
