Hi all,

I really liked the idea from the 4th Transformer movie, about Transformers being built on earth.
What if they expanded on it, and a new faction was created? Thinking a Silver faction symbol, but what would it look like and what should it be called?

Too late - Hasbro's made the Autobot symbol be red or silver in official usage since 2009 when it was prevalent on Animated figures.

 

eh should be a black or green faction symbol, idk if those have been taken yet but they probably have.

 

Earth faction

I really liked the idea in the 4th film about humans building Transformers.
Anybody got any ideas on a faction name for them? An insignia? I think the insignia should be silver in homage to the films.

A faction of transformers that are simply defending earth from Autobots and Decepticons

 

I imagine Unicronians as the third faction.

 

Cemetery Wind and Mech or Machination are all fine names.

 

I'd just go with Protectobots let every major city have their own Defensor

Then there can be sub groups than end in mech, much like bots and cons

Autobots -red
Decepticons -purple
Knights of Cybertron -blue
Star Seekers -green
Gaiamechs (Earth created Transformers) -silver

 

As interesting as the idea sounds if there's one thing that Transformers has always proved, if you're not a bot or con faction, it always ends badly.

 

Actually I think the knights of cybertron would have a brownish or goldish type symbol.

 

Having more than just Team Prime or Team Megatron would an interesting thing for well anything Transformers to explore.

Although this isn't something that is limited to just Transformers since it's so common to see American entertainment broken into two factions. Even our history books tend to boil things down to just two factions so that you'd think everyone rallies to just one of two flags in any given situation.

It seems like there are several ways they could possibly go to get more than just Autobots or Decepticons. As to a symbol just do like they did when with Beast Wars and design a new symbol for the new faction.

Aren't the predacons a separate faction? They could introduce them, maybe as a worthy opponent for the Dinobots in TF5 or TF6, or whatever lol

 

In our rpg we had some with the EDC and others who merely adopted the name "autobot" due to the ideology.

Non military bots seeking asylum were refereed to ASM'S (ASYLUM SEEKING MECHANOIDS) or as other Cybertronians call them NICLS (Non Indigenous Cybertronian Lifeforms)or "Nickles". As in "Not worth a plugged nickel" ba dump bump.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Creators have more creations that are like Cybertronians they'll be considered a third faction. Also the TFCU can be a good chance to explore other factions like perhaps a faction that has nothing to do with the great war?
