It was running through my head if ratchet should return I said to myself yes what is your guys opinions

 

Well, we never saw his spark crushed, Lockdown only took it. So it's possible he could return. But since Lockdown's henchmen took the Knight ship at the end of AOE, it's doubtful. Plus, it would lessen the impact of his death in the movie, so I say he should stay dead.

 

Could be turned into a villian like Rhinox by the Creators. Just a thought.

 

As a zombie . . . Be cool to see Terrorcons. Also, while that death scene was one of only two in the entire movie that provoked an emotional response from me, I think he needs to stay dead, how ironic that bayformers doesn't use the common "kill a character-revive him/her in the sequel." It really lessens the effect of their death if you know they'll come back.

 

If they couldn't think of anything for him to do in the last four films, outside of dying, I don't think they could think of anything for him to do in the next two, so no to resurrection. He can't become a zombie, since KSI melted down his body.

 

His spark still out there I like a better look for ratchet keep the vehicle mode he has

 

He should be a zombie fused with Megatron

 

I'd like to see Prime come across a zombie Ratchet while invading the creators palace

 

I'd rather he not come back unless it means he gets a Leader toy.

I always saw Ratchet as similar to Rhinox

Shattered Glass Ratchet.

 

He wasn't even that great of a character. He died protecting Optimus, which had they given him characterization, would have been sad. So no there is no need for him to return.

Now on the subject of technicality:

1) Ratchet couldn't return because his body was melted down by KSI.

2) Lockdown took his spark. If it was still in his arm compartment when Optimus killed him, Ratchets spark would have been destroyed in the resulting explosion from Lockdown's grenade.

3) If Lockdown had put Ratchet's spark in his ship at some unforeseen point in the film, it would have been forgotten or destroyed when the Chinese military bombed the ship.


So in other words, Bay made damn sure he aint coming back...

 

Zombie? No.

 

All of this.

 

If I wanted Ratchet back, neither of those would be an option I'd be keen on.

 

Nah, I'd rather someone new. Though there are some good ideas here.
