What happened to the Lockdown's ship at the end of movie?

 

After Optimus took out Lockdown, you could see fighter jets firing upon Lockdown's Ship in the background, it's especially visible when Galvatron swears revenge and when Optimus gives his closing remarks to Cade and the Autobots before departing star-ward.

So I'd say the Chinese Military shot it down, probably those jets they mentioned sending earlier in the movie were the ones that were seen doing so.

The first part is definitely true. However, I don't think the military jets brought it down at all. It almost certainly got away. Think of the wave that would cause if it did get brought down. Bay is passionate about action and explosions; if he meant for it to be brought down he would not pass up the chance for visuals of a giant alien ship exploding and the subsequent wave drowning parts of Hong Kong and causing destruction. That wave would dwarf those caused by the boats falling from the Knightship's magnet earlier.

Another thing is Bay mentioned in an interview that there are things related to Lockdown's ship that could be explored in a few more movies. I seriously doubt we've seen the last of the Knightship.

 

It flew into a plothole.

 

Plenty of those to fly into.

 

You can see its "wings" switching to horizontal mode, referencing that it is entering flight mode. His minions probably took off.

 

I never noticed that. There are really tiny explosions on the ship. Although, judging by how small they are, I doubt they destroyed the ship.

 

It'll turn up again with Galvatron at the helm (why not?)

 

The ship flew off with the remaining mercenaries to the creators and they know that Optimus is in space. They sent a distress beacon as a trap to finally capture Optimus. Then they brainwash him to be, wait for it...

Nemesis freakin' Prime!

 

Galvatron took it for his Intergalactic Circus-On-The-Go.

 

What if the Autobots use it for their base?

 

Heh that's what I thought too. Galvatron commandeer Lockdown's ship & utilize it, to it's most brutal potential.

 

I'd like to see Optimus return captaining the ship. It could be an easy way to introduce new characters to the movies.

I mentioned a long time ago on here that I'd like to see TF5 open with Optimus evacuating Quintessa with Ultra Magnus and another Autobot that had been held as slaves. They could use the Knightship or just commandeer it as they are flying through space.

...or perhaps Magnus and other were prisoners on the Knightship.

 

I seriously hope it happens! I personally hope Galvy scanned one of the jets flying over head, flew into the Knightship, and took it over from the remainder of Lockdown's minions.

Seriously, Galvatron potentially doing that has so much potential.
1)It can allow him to gather Decepticons from throughout the galaxy that we haven't seen before.
2)It can allow him to travel to the Creators and either forge an alliance with them or attack them as enemies.
3)He can follow Prime's journey.
4)He can capture enemies.
5)He can use the remaining crew and prisoners as henchmen or cannon fodder if he doesn't kill them first. For all we know Lockdown may have had some Decepticons as prisoners on his ship as well.

And these are just a few possibilities.

However, it's also possible the ship returns to the Creators and gets a new captain. I suspect that Lockdown is far from the only notable Transformer allied with the Creators.

 

I'd like Galvatron to have it.

 

It ran out of fuel, fell and killed everybody after the movie ended.

 

The Chinese shot it down , recovered the wreck and KOed it. poorly.

 

Where almost everything goes in universe if its not onscreen.
