I like a lot of the designs, such as Longhaul, Sideswipe, Ravage, any Kitchenbot that doesn't have a dick.

I think the fact that it's the only film where Megatron's design doesn't suck deserves a separate mention. Especially since it's one of my favorite Megatron designs of any version of TF.

Ravage and Soundwave are reasonably well handled. Soundwave being the satellite guy probably made him one of the more memorable Decepticons of any of the films.

The action may not have been that good, but it was better than DOTM's. The Decepticons looked sucky, but at least they didn't resort to making them look suicidal just to make the action easier to handle.

The Decepticons got a few moments of awesomeness. Killing Optimus, destroying an aircraft carrier, Megatron shooting Sam, Scorponok wounding Jetfire. More than anything they managed in DOTM, that wasn't done by a former Autobot.

The concepts of the film was good. A light hearted, Indiana Jones esque adventure that leads to discovering the origins of the Autobot/Decepticon war. If it wasn't for the writers strike, I think it would've ended up a decent film.

Edit: The Autobots at least had personalities, even if they were annoying, unlike the dull 'Bots in DOTM. Basically, every part of the movie that I personally care about was better than how those things were handled in DOTM.

 

ROTF is actually my favorite of the 4 movies, even though it also has its issues.

I was really excited at the introduction of Sideswipe (Damn, he's good!)

Loved Bee's continuing Camaro alt mode

Jolt was awesome (what little we got to see of him)

Jetfire was entertaining

LOVED that forest battle scene

The Minor Twins were a freaking riot ( I call them the Minor Twins and Sunstreaker and Sideswipe the Major Twins )

I always enjoy seeing my favorite CMO on screen

I liked the desert battle scene

The forest fight was cool. Also, design-wise Sideswipe, Arcee, Jetfire and Soundwave were way awesome, and old Jetfire is an interpretation that should be used more.

I still think it's the poorest of the four in terms of editing and overall plot, but it has its moments.

ROTF had the best robot designs of the franchise so far, in my opinion.

The Decepticons were shown to be an actual threat for the first time.

Tony Todd as The Fallen. Perfect Casting If I do say so myself.

Jetfire was pretty funny for a Bay character.

 

I guess I liked the Bumblebee vs constructicon and Ravage fight?? It's hard to like anything in that movie without getting upset.

 

I love the opening sequence with Demolisher and Prime parachuting. (But not when Prime kills him).

 

For all the bashing it gets, there's a lot to like about ROTF in my (admittedly minority) opinion.

It has the best and most unique robot designs, the best set pieces such as Shanghai, the forest battle, the destruction of the naval fleet, the capture of Sam and the warehouse scene, and of course the formation of Devastator. There are lots of proper lol moments, and I find that it has the best re-watch value of all the films, despite how stupid and nonsensical a lot of it is.

 

I liked the movie for the fact that it had jolt in it.

 

It didn't make me fall asleep like the 2-hour fight scene that was DOTM, so there's that.

 

Reminded me of indiana Jones except with giant alien robots lol.....it was and still is a good ride

 

I enjoyed the Forest Battle, Meg's new design, OP and Jetfire combining/the Armada nostalgia I got from it, Sideswipe's design, and most of the final battle.

 

The first film would love to say hello.

 

Forest battle, and the fight in the desert, i can skip the rest of the movie.
