IDK about you guys, but as I keep reading on your ideas I keep remember of Prime's mood and character throught the movies and his fighting style, specially his AoE character and DAAAAAMN! If Prime, being still heoric, was a little of tough and shit-beating kind of guy...

Would you imagine the levels of shit-beating Nemesis would give to Prime? I mean, Prime's GIVE ME YOUR FACE is actually NOTHING compared to what Nemesis would be ro do to Prime being his darkest side! DUDE, THATS A FIGHT I WOULD LOOOOVE TO PAY FOR!

That would be the real BATTLE OF THE KINGS! Not that lame-man-hugging Mayweather and Pacquiao gave us

I would also like to add, that the Origin of Nemesis should be totally new, this is what I have in mind:

Nemesis Prime, who is he? Well he is nothing but Prime's true rival, being the most cynica, sadistic, and darkest side of Prime. Prime's truly opposite. Created after Prime and his Dynasty of Prime brother rebelled against their Creators. His only porpuse is to defeat Prime. He has been training cycles, until the day when he finally face Prime

I mentioned before that my ideas for Optimus would be beyond blasphemous...

I still think that the current Movie version of Optimus should be taken to the logical extension of his darker and more violent portrayal and become a VILLAIN in the mold of Nemesis Prime - BUT I'd also still probably employ my time-travel/Cybertron idea of bringing the younger versions of the Autobots and the Decepticons from the early days of the Great War to Earth years ahead of schedule. Thus, I'd probably have the final battle to the death be between Optimus Prime, the complete novice of an Autobot not sure if the Prime mantle is something he's ready for, and Optimus Prime, the twisted, fallen leader who's finally been pushed over the edge and disintegrated into the snarling, frothing lunatic that the younger Megatron fears HE'LL end up becoming.

This might require using one movie to "turn" Optimus (maybe at the end to cliffhanger the whole deal) and the NEXT one to set the stage for a COMPLETELY new direction for the character AND the franchise.

What if Nemesis Prime is a kinda demented clone of Op, and actually destroys Optimus in battle. And the the story arc can focus on Nemesis fighting his inner evils and finding the "Optimus" within him.

I'd actually like to see him go dark about without Nemesis, he could have like a PTSD thing that makes him more and more violent as he keeps ripping faces off his enemies, well I'm thinking he should become even more violent and perhaps his anger could cause him to cross the line. How do you stay good and faithful to yourself in a war that takes millions of years and causes countless lives of your friends?

Confronting his past as The Last of the Primes would be pretty cool. I know it was explained in the comics, but maybe a little more? Perhaps learning a bit on whether he truly is The Last and turns out he's not alone in the form of Rodimus Prime?

The thing about Movieverse Prime is that all his depth is read in by fans. The truth is much more simple; Michael Bay pushes for more and more extreme violence and "te bAdASs" one liners, and the screenwriter accommodates him, and what we end up with is the movies displaying this wierd situation with a character who has more in common with the punisher is still being presented as this paragon of everything the movies value and it's super fucked.

Seriously. This isn't some edgy teenager's ineptly scrawled fan fiction, where I could see this just pouring out onto the page. This is something that had to go through reems of script doctors, the studio, and given how fucked up Paramount is, the Pentagon, and at no stage did someone say "Um... The fuck?"

I thought Cullen had final say on Primes lines? and that he frequently changed the scripts he was given to fit his idea of what Prime would or wouldn't say

Interesting thought. The prequel spin-off could set off a story on how Optimus earned the title.

Maybe they could take some ideas from the comics to the big screen.

No. There's a video online of him talking about how uncomfortable parts of AoE made him. But he does it anyway because he's professional.

okay it must have been one of the earlier movies then. I remember the writers saying something on the extras dvd maybe that Cullen would frequently change script because he didn't think it sounded like something Prime would say. maybe he's changed his mind throughout the series too.

Peter Cullen’s first day at work of AoE.

    Script - Optimus Prime

Line 1: "Aaarhg! I’ll kill you!" *grunts* "Raaarhg! I’ll kill you!"

Actually Peter Cullen doesn't have the final say. It's Michael Bay who has the final say.

Most people don't know that Michael Bay is also one of the producers of the movies and he has a say what does and doesn't go into the movies.

Peter Cullen even said this the in the video Galvatron II talk about himself "you can't argue with the big man" meaning Michael Bay.

I feel sorry for Peter Cullen having to work with Michael Bay, but he's commit to the character of Optimus Prime and that's why he take's crap from Michael Bay.

Live-action Nemesis Prime would be insane, especially if he looks close to this [IMG]

BTW, aren't the creators organic creatures, or some kind of cyborgs, that are human sized?

It's because Peter Cullen is a really nice person and Michael Bay is an overbearing jack wagon.

Peter Cullen tries to see the good in everyone even though it's not always there.

Like I said before, better than what we got now.

Kinda reminds me of what they said in The Dark Knight "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
