Why a TFCU, without a reboot, could be a GOOD idea

That's a huge issue altogether. Is it really had for them to have them get named once...poor Drift.

    Agreed especially on Galvatron.

Yep, gotta agree with Split there. Sure there are some things they can't do, like return to an intact Cybertron, or feature characters who are confirmed dead, but they have so much free scope to go forward without upturning any applecarts, whilst still having more than enough framework to build on.

I think that's the biggest kick in the gut so far, actually.

There's still some room for them to work with.

But the only way the known writing team could be any worse is if Uwe Boll and M. Night are announced. Kruger can not write for shit and Paramount put the guy who killed the biggest movie franchise of its time in charge of this TFCU thing.

Yeah, what Transformers fans fail to realize is that generally, the general public actually LIKES the films.

MRW I finally see "Shia LaBeouf" live by Rob Cantor - GIF on Imgur

    Even Sam Witwicky approves.

Also, let's please keep the Pathetic Dirty Foursome.

    This.

And this. The only people I see making the TF films to be a joke are highly opinionated people on youtube trying to fit in/get their 5 seconds of fame.

I disagree, I can't find anyone who enjoyed TF4 (admittedly I think it was alright but still hugely flawed). Let's also look at the fact that these films have declined in box office revenue in many countries (AoE only got to $1B due to that huge push for the Chinese market). Nothing 'new' has happened in these films, as was pointed out above. The plots been the same ever since the first film, it's essentially as follows:

    Threat is introduced.
    Macguffin identified.
    Product placement thrown everywhere.
    Titties, ass, and explosions.
The world is saved/macguffin destroyed/evil guys killed.
    End.

People are certainly getting tired of the TF films. It's time for a different approach.

I tend to find a range of opinions. I've got some friends and family who enjoy the movies, I've got some friends and family that are rougher on the films than I am, and I know some people who don't have any interest in the films at all.

I don't think it's just people with a weekly video review of films that have problems with the Transformers films.
