what themes or plots could the extended universe explore

    Reading some of these ideas... I think I've either grown out of Transformers, or these movies have pulverised the last shred of excitement I had about it all.

    Some prequel about Jetfire's adventure, how he explore the Earth and humans, try different alternative modes and had decided to join Autobots:)  Also about Dinobots - I have a theory that they visited the Earth early.
