So what exactly was it like during that time? Being able to do stuff like that?

    Just asking.

Hey now "Down Perisope" can be hilarious if you've had just the right amount of bourbon.

Indeed. Sure, his character was lame... but there are other characters that are far more intolerable... Tessa's boyfriend Shane? Really. Of all the absolute worthless characters... he takes the cake. His only shining moment was the first scene where the would-be Transformer rally car turns out to be driven by this d-bag. After that? We're wasting time establishing the fact that he can legally bang a minor... and has a *laminated* copy of a law that proves it's ok... and what..? Him cowering around?

That aside... the only grave that the TF movies have... are the bot designs. I really want to see an art book for the sketches and renders. Otherwise..? Blech. Give it more razzies.

I don't get it. He played a hell of a bad guy. The worst should have gone to the CGI, not the acting. Whoever came up with the concept for 'Transformium' should be arrested.

KELSEY GRAMMAR?!? I'm sorry, but KELSEY GRAMMAR?!? REALLY?!? Out of all the actors in the movie, they nominated the BEST performance as WORST actor?!? I am confused...

I agree, though I'm keeping the two I have (Grimlock and High Octane Bumblebee) and I still want to get the rest of the Dinobots. If there's one redeeming aspect about the movies, it's the design aesthetic, which I feel translate very nicely into toys.

It's a golden raspberry because the Razzies are a jab at the Oscars as well. Lots of film buffs have an ax to grind and/or feel the Oscars have gotten too elitist. So the Razzies not only lampoon the bad but provide a way for anyone to be a voter. The Oscars have their little gold man and the Razzies have their little gold raspberry.

And how was Drift offensive, Shane McCarthy?

Sideswipe was around to do a few flips and kills. A really badass design and alt mode, yes. But nothing else says "badass" about him. Not that he was on screen much, but he pales on the badass chart compared to say, Ratchet, Jazz, or Hound.

everyone is entitled to their opinion - he to his relevant and factual one that there IS a huge diff. between a fairly low budget 30 year old cartoon and a $210 000 000 movie production for a global release...and you to your batshit crazy bs about it being a cop-out.

Either way they continue to make bad calls like the Oscars.

This is why I prefer the Golden Globes.

I'll say this though, Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas deserved all of those Razzies, even if it's going to give Kirk Cameron more unwarranted publicity.

If you give the award to a B or C-lister, who is going to notice (or care)? This is just as much about Grammar's choice to involve himself in A Michael Bay film as it is about his actual acting. It's not unlike Alec Guinness' post-Star Wars reflections on his role in the franchise. Grammar is a decent actor who chose to partake in some really lowbrow cinematography. What's more fun; poking fun at the artist who stoops so low as to involve himself in a mindless blockbuster or to poke fun at the below-average actor or actress that blends in perfectly with the contents of the film?

Oh, you mean the low-budget 30 year-old cartoon that half of this site upholds as the be-all-end-all of Transformers lore?

Not disagreeing with you here, but it just makes me question, if you're admitting the cartoon is essentially shitty, why do all the "Geewunners" still kneel down and pray to it? Especially when there has been far better TF incarnations since, like Beast Wars or [from what I've heard] Animated?

That's why I think it's a cop-out. Everyone hates on the movies, and says how terrible they are, and frankly, I'm not in disagreement. I know how bad they are. But when the source material is shit to begin with, you ought to cut them some slack, especially since at least the first one managed to be an enjoyable experience for those who didn't sit back with nostalgia blinders on while listening to "The Touch" over and over on their Walkman, before retiring to the nearest restroom with a G1 Soundwave and a tube of Vaseline.

This is doubly true when you consider than Hollywood manages to make shittier movies out of much better source material with a higher budget on a regular basis. So, who's the real bat-shit crazy one here?

Kelsey Grammer didn't deserve that, out all all the mediocre acting in the film, the fact they decided to choose him is bizarre.

This whole award ceremony is "bizarre" and stupid.
