    Y'all are assuming that it was gone in the first place. Yes, Optimus took quite a few chest-shots. That does not necessarily mean the matrix was in any way harmed.

    This IS the same object that reformed from a sock full of dust and apparantly sat in a tomb of robot-bones for 16,000 years.

    I highly doubt being fractured by bullets or split by a sword would do any permanant harm to it. Hell, it's possible the matrix was why Optimus wasn't killed or KO'd by all the spark-shots he took.

    Doesn't the Matrix dissolve in his spark or something? Not only that, but there was not one instance where it would serve a point, so why bring it up at all?
