This is the shit I used to think back in 2010/2011/2012.

No Seriously this is all wrong.

I'm also sorry you wasted 7 hours on this.

I want to keep reading this, but I feel like it's not, like, useful information to use my time for?

He's put more effort into the movies then I, a self-proclaimed fan of them, has in seven years. I've never considered the Transformers movies worth such in-depth analysis, despite how well-written said analysis is. The writer's intelligence seems tragically wasted on these movies.

Also, TFW's text looks barely-readably-thin now after reading so much of that tiny, thick text. :lol  Also, some of the analogies fell short. Like insinuating that Pit Bulls can never be 'civilised' or cute thing. Pit Bulls are absolutely the opposite point he is trying to make, being outwardly aggressive-looking dogs with a bad reputation that are in reality loyal, loving, adorable things. He's trying to call them something mean dressed up to be cute, but they're really something cute commonly dressed up to be mean. When his entire essay is basically an attack on ignorance, being ignorant in any way takes away the legitimacy of writings, and as a Pit Bull owner I find it offensive.

That said, the stand-out part, and what makes me want to keep reading, is his characterization of Megatron. I desperately want that canonized.

    lame.. i skimmed through it.

all i found were ridiculous connections for things that didn't require any sane amount of thinking.. and a million interpretations of stuff that didn't really matter.

oh.. and a lot of things he said were just flat out wrong.

i honestly am wondering why he bothered wasting his time.

Cool. It feels like a scholarly article a college student wrote for grad school

Has he (she?) ever added his (her?) thoughts on Age of Extinction? I'm nearly done reading this, and it's fascinating. I'd love to hear his (her?) thoughts on the fourth movie, especially Murder Prime's character arc.

i'm loving this read so far. It's actually far more entertaining and worthy of my time than some of the bitchfest back-and-forths i see here...

I don't necessarily want something to CHANGE my view of the movies, but it's very interesting nonetheless to see a different angle on it.

Sometimes it's fun to read articles that connect the dots and make sense of movies, but in this case there's very few dots to connect in the movieverse, it's mostly just a fan way overthinking a simple series that wasn't clearly thought out. For that matter I probably wouldn't read an article doing the same thing with G1. Now when someone writes an article about Aligned, let me know...

I believe some of his stuff but not all of it. Some of the things he says about Megatron were really interesting. He was right about most parts of Megatron and Optimus Prime.

How is it possible that this guy put more effort into explaining what in the slag happened in those movies than the people behind them? Screw it, THIS GUY should take Ehren Kruger's job. He's coherent.

Anyone is a better writer than Ehren Kruger, especially Shane McCarthy. Even 12 year olds who write Kingdom Hearts yaoi fanfics are better writers.

maybe what's your intended major, business? from one grad student to another

    problem statement:

has science fiction movies become larger than life in the real world of selling movie tickets?

    purpose statement:

the purpose of this study is to suggest that science fiction movies can predict big block buster movies in a given time frame

    research question:

what strategies would threader managers need to implement strategies to induce more moviegoers to see more movies

Just started skimming it. I like how he called Captain Lennox middle aged. If he's middle aged them I'm a fucking senior citizen.
