As to the deal with Lockdown, well, not to be negative or anything, but it was done in the aftermath of DOTM's Chicago massacre and three alien battles around the world. Attinger actually had a good motive for his actions (...and then it was revealed that he didn't really care for the war or the people he was killing, he just wanted to make a profit from KSI. But even then...) Like Joyce said to Optimus Prime, the world would approve of what CW'd done, being likely to accept the sacrifice of a few to protect the many. This statement, that most of the Autobots allies were killed in order to achieve a non-TF means to keep Earth safe, was what broke Optimus's faith and decided he was done with Earth. It's not fair, but then wouldn't the people of Earth reasonably or realistically accept such deeds? The only thing Earth would really condemn CW for would be the creation of Galvatron. And I think I see a way he could avoid that: just blame everything on Joyce since it was KSI Industries that created Galvatron and his army in the first place. Or does somebody have a better/more optimistic view of this "what if" situation than I do?
Also, he could have said that they were hunting Autobots as well since, after all, the Chicago invasion was ordered and headed by an Autobot, the one that humans were told to trust.

The Autobots saved Earth. That is public record and Obama wants to meets Optimus Prime. The US congress almost doomed the planet by exiling the Autobots. Thing is there always was a dark reason why they wanted the alliance to end. So as long as the treaty is in place their corporate backers can't exploit TF tech. All the way back to Galloway being anti-Autobot alliance points to that. Sentinel ceased to be an Autobot joining the Decepticons. Nah Attinger knew he was dead if it came to light he killed Autobots and threatened to kill US citizens.r The CIA would be heavily sanctioned by the government for lack of oversight. The politicians who advocated the switch from the military to the CIA for TF affairs political stock would plummet. Plus the fact Attinger was willing to sell military tech to China is a clear act of treason.
Yeah Attinger was in a loose-loose situation at the end. As soon as Joshua backed out and everybody found out who Attinger's "informant" was, it was over. Even if his superiors didn't actually have an issue with what he'd done, the public backlash over Lockdown's trashing of the city would have them throwing Attinger under the bus as fast as possible.
He was a black ops guy he could have disappeared if he wanted to no one would have ever found him. He wasn't selling stuff to China that was just KSI factory in China, he was selling stuff to KSI for money.
Yeah it's just incredibly stupid that they would have the factory in china n the first place. Obvious reasons why it was in the movie though, looking at the chinese box office.
People say the reason much of the film took place in China was cause they only show a few foriegn movies over there every year. This just raises another question which is why does China suppress the amount of international films going into their theaters?
Yeah very few American companies with factories in China, oh wait no. Because it's their country and their government doesn't want them to be exposed to foreign ideas or cultures on a massive scale. How many Chinese or other foreign movies do we show at American theaters?
