It is very analogous to the ILM animators who are so focused on their brilliant work, they do not think of the consequences of what they are contributing to--the horrors that will be unleashed on humanity by Bay. (sorry, I couldn't resist ).
If you really think about it, what they were doing was pretty horrific. As really cool and rather innovative transformium is as a product, it's not made from Cybertronian technology, it's made from their biology. It's like designer hand bags made with human skin. That was likely some "pseudo-science" Del Toro threw in as an homage to the older kaiju movies (which back then, that WAS cold hard science). Personally, I took it as, "Hey, that myth about dinosaurs having two brains? The Kaiju actually have that going for them." When I first heard the Kaiju had two brains prior to seeing it, I was picturing two brains located in the head (akin to the Jaegers having two pilots in their heads). But when he said, "like a dinosaur", I immediately pictured the second brain in the hip area (as it was in the movie).
We know that, but just how much do people know about Cybertronian biology in the film? What's the tangible difference between programming and personality? To us they're living, breathing creatures. To people in the movie universe, they're those alien robots that crashed here and blew everything up.
They've confirmed Charlie Day and Burn Gorman are coming back for sure. They should have. Poor Ratchet....melted down by idiots.
Yeah I am pretty sure they weren't subjects or were viewed as such, their race just tried to kill off and enslave our entire race and destroy our planet. I'm pretty sure they viewed them as alien technology to be exploited and didn't care about warm fuzzies, really t's pretty straight forward. Scientists use test animals and humans all the time, so I don't think alien robots that they may have not even viewed as life forms were going to get petted and snuggled.
True but these were actually the only ones who were trying to save humanity. If they had known beforehand....would they still have done so?
Good question! Maybe not, but knowing Attinger force, I doubt. But they could rebel and try to stir up society!
There didn't really seem to be that many people in this world that had any real love for the Transformers. It's like they were living in a world compiled of only 5% of compassionate humans. Most likely, the Battle of Chicago could have been spun off into another 9/11 scenario. So what if the Autobots returned to save the day? Some would probably say they killed more people by just waiting around before acting to take down the Decepticons. Basically, it's a no-win situation being an Autobot in these films.
and being a human means you have to deal with alien robots fighting a war in your populated cities and countless lives lost. It sucks living the Bayverse.
