Surprised the fight scene with Grimlock (including Grimlocks transformation) Optimus in his Rusted form in the barn and Lockdown walking down the street didn't get a nomination tbf.

Still, good to see it at least got one.

It's an honor just to be nominated.

I haven't seen the Apes yet but there are other good scenes.
To me Lockdown hunting down Ratchet deserves to make AOE the winner of this years VFX. The lighting and animation was unreal.

Two other favorites are Optimus facing Grimlock and Bumblebee against Stinger on Strafes back.

The first time I saw AOE was on IMAX 3D, and all these scenes were worth the price for the tickets.

That's weird that it's the only nomination, it seems like Transformers movies should be up there at the top with the other movies effects wise. But the effects weren't as good as the previous Transformers movies, so hopefully they learn not to leave it to the new ILM Singapore next time.

Ratchet's death had the best visuals IMO.

That's like getting an award for just trying. It's not enough.

    True.

Wining the award would be something...even though it'll never happen.

I hope TF5 will get an award. It'll be more likely to get an award if Bay never touches the franchise again
