When I saw the ideal voice cast. I had an idea for this thread.... So without further adieu.

I'm gonna post the best voices for the Transformers so far. In this case for the movieverse.

    1. Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime. Honestly, Nimoy really gave a good Spock vibe out of Sentinel and it really made the character feel like the philospher and teacher to Optimus. So there's that. It's just awesome to listen to.

    2. Peter Cullen as Optimus. In the movieverse, Optimus is kind of human so the voice direction given to Cullen allowed the character to emote whether or not he was calm or angry. His performance in AOE helped make me chose him for the list.

    3. Frank Welker as Galvatron. It is about time Welker gets his iconic role back and it isn't just the nostalgia but how he manages to provide the power in Megatron's character..... A few of his lines were wierd but Welker can deliver it.

    4. Tony Todd as the Fallen. Yeah.... I know character-wise, the Fallen is terrible but Tony Todd showed potential in the character. I'm glad the franchise got him to voice Dreadwing and I hope he can voice another TF in any future series.

    5. Tom Kenny and Reno Wilson as Skids and Mudflap........ Just kidding.

Number 5 is Charlie Adler as Starscream. Starscream had some good moments in the movieverse but ultimately he is a weak character. However Charlie Adler gave the voice I want from Starscream, a sneaky weasel character. The fact Adler also played Cobra Commander makes me wish he is the next Chris Latta.

Honorable mentions: John Dimaggio as Crosshairs, John Goodman as Hound, Jess Harnell as Ironhide and Keith Szarbajka as Laserbeak.

    What's your list?

They are ALL wonderful, dude. The voice cast is one of the highs of this franchise.

    I'm sticking with celebrities here:

    - Mark Ryan as Jetfire. He was a great iteration of the character (and my favorite version), making the former Decepticon into a tough grumpy old sod with shades of Kup and Sky-Lynx, who also displayed character and awesomeness.

    - Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime. A well-written version of the character who is both Optimus's predecessor (like in G1) and his nemesis (like in TFA), who comes out as both a tragic and compelling villain.

    - Tony Todd as the Fallen. The horror film actor brings a great demonic presence to the Fallen, the Judas Prime.

    - John Goodman as Hound. He turned the friendly green Autobot into a badass fat ballerina with shades of Kup and Bulkhead, making him boisterous and warm-tempered but also friendly and warmhearted.

    - Reno Wilson. Perhaps the most underrated voice actor in the series, he made Frenzy manic, and Mudflap and Brains definite characters.

    Yep, they're all great.

    1) Mark Ryan as Lockdown. I mean, every. single. line. Mention to Jetfire as well, love him, as QLRformer says, it's Kup and Sky-Lynx in one.

    2) Leanord Nimoy as Sentinel. He should do Transformers more often. The way he was written in DOTM gave off a good vibe that fitted the role perfectly.

    3) Peter Cullen as Optimus. I mean, the movies are basically his high, voice acting wise... The way he's directed makes it so perfect. It's most noticeable in AOE and DOTM. He makes Optimus human.

    4) Hugo weaving as Megatron. He fits and makes Movie Megatron brilliant. Only a handful can say that Movie megatron's 'arc' or whatever is clever. Weaving makes him menacing in 2007, for the first few parts of ROTF and in DOTM he makes Megatron exactley how he's designed, weak(ish).

    5) Charlie Adler, I mean is he not the most wimpiest and yet SOOO fitting voice for Movie Starscream they could ever find?

Honorable mention to Reno Wilson, I love Brains.

John Dimaggio as Crosshairs - Still happily surprised at how many lines he had.

Mark Ryan as Lockdown - Best movie villain for a reason. I'm tempted to also put down his performance as Jetfire, as that was great too.

John Goodman as Hound - Sometimes, just having an actor play himself can be a truly amazing process. This is one of those times.

John Goodman as Hound is I think by far my favorite. He's hilarious and well cast.

Jess Harnell as Ironhide is badass.

Mark Ryan as both Jetfire and Lockdown is fantastic.

Frank Welker as Galvatron.....This is my ideal Galvatron voice.

Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime, a very majestic performance.

Tony Todd as The Fallen, perfect casting for a sadly lacking villain.

Also the numerous roles done by Reno Wilson and John DiMaggio are great.

Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime.....easily his best performances come from here.

Peter is a powerhouse as Prime. Really the majority of them do terrific in their roles. Weaving claims he wasn't too emotionally involved in his performance but he still did a damn good job. Nimoy was perfect. Goodman, Watanabe, DiMaggio, Foxworth, Harnell, Ryan, Kenny, all of them were great.

Even though he was a one note baddie, The Fallen still sounded cool because of Tony Todd. You would expect a huge, booming voice for the Antichrist of Transformers, but they went a different route and picked Todd, who has a deep voice but he's just.. I don't know. He was a good pick even if his role was simply to be "I'm gonna get your sun!"

    1. Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime. I'd go into detail, but what would be the point? Peter Cullen is Optimus Prime, and everyone knows it. He's absolutely perfect at it. He defines the character perfectly, even when the character goes down a darker road than ever before in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

    2. Mark Ryan as Jetfire and Lockdown. I have no idea what they were thinking when they made him the voice for Bumblebee (Bumblebee's pretty much the kid of the team, and he sounded a lot like an elderly Darth Vader), but he gave Jetfire the perfect voice for the senile old Decepticon turncoat he was. Jetfire is pretty much the only reason I ever re-watch Revenge of the Fallen. The character is fun, I'm emotionally attached to him, and a huge part of it is because of the voice provided by Mark Ryan.
While I love Mark Ryan's voice for Jetfire for being humorous and fun to watch, I love his voice for Lockdown for being dark and serious. Lockdown is a character who seems to have no choice in what he does or feels he doesn't, and Mark Ryan provides a great combination of boredom and disdain in his vocal performance.

    3. Leonard Nimmoy as Sentinel Prime. He perfectly conveys the character's pride in himself, his regret for betraying Optimus, and his irritation and impatience with Megatron, and his disregard for the humans, making for the perfect voice for Sentinel Prime.

    4. John Goodman as Hound is pure fun. The voice fits the design and the character perfectly, and is one of the many reasons why he's my second or third favorite movie Autobot, after Bumblebee and maybe Optimus.

    5. Charlie Adler as Starscream. He's just a wonderful voice. He sounds treacherous, sneaky, he's a suck up, but you can tell it's not genuine, and like an all around underhanded backstabber, the epitome of what Starscream is.

Honorable mentions to Charlie Adler as Starscream, John Dimaggio as Crosshairs, Keith Szarbajka as Laserbeak, Hugo Weaving as Megatron, Robert Foxworth as Ratchet, Jess Harnell as Ironhide, and both André Sogliuzzo and James Remar as Sideswipe.

Peter Cullen is at the top without a doubt. He is Optimus to me even though there have been other actors that did a good job voicing Optimus when he didn't.

I would also give second place to Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime. He really brought a lot to the character and helped make him the most interesting villain in the movies so far.

Mark Ryan did a great job as Lockdown. Every line was badass and his voice made you believe it. I also enjoyed him as Jetfire.

John Goodman and Ken Watanabe were also pretty good in AOE. I also liked Jess Harnell as Ironhide and Hugo Weaving as Megatron (even though he said he phoned it in).

I'm thinking Mark Ryan. He Nailed Lockdown perfectly even though he was overly stern and Peter Cullen doesn't sound as cool as he used to.

The voice acting is probably the only consistantly brilliant thing about these movies! I don't think there were any bad casting calls, and most were genius!

Ironically the great voice acting highlights the disappointments of these movies! Just imagine what a treat it would have been to follow Adlers Starscream around a bit before Megatron was found, hearing his delusions of grandeur and cackling self appreciation as he bossed around barricade while trying not to show how scared he was of Brawl!
