MASK would translate well into a movie I think. I shared Hasbro properties universe would be great, something to compete with Disney's Marvel universe.

It's not just Marvel any more. It seems like other studios are looking into a shared universe for their properties. Universal wants the reboots of their Monster films to link up.

In the Joe 25th line. Even had a MASK emblem on the cardback.I just use them for the Joe R&D team, who doesn't mind field testing. All of their tech has to come from somewhere.

A Joe crossover with the movies wouldnt be a bad idea. But I think now since hasbro owns the rights they should do a crossover with the microman (micronaut) line.

Oh come on now, if anything we need a Visionaries movie. That show had the best opening ever and a great concept (asshole wizard makes two factions fight for his own amusement).

I'm okay with this. I think it could work really well as a mobile app/figure line with augmented reality involved.

Transformers and GI Joe have already crossoevered in the movieverse. I swear I saw Ratchet and Sideswipe in the first GI Joe movie. In vehicle mode

I really like the idea of a shared universe. In my head I kind of consider all those intertwined 80's cartoons/franchises (i.e. Transformers, G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., Battle Beasts, Inhumanoids, Jem and the Holograms) as part of a shared universe anyway.

For the record, C.O.P.S. does seem to almost officially take place in the G.I. Joe universe, but in the future. It was probably just an inside joke by Larry Hama at the time, but one of the C.O.P.S. characters' bios strongly implies he is the son of the Joe character Beachhead. So, inside joke + time = canon. :)

Also, don't forget Hector Ramirez, the TV reporter that appears in Transformers, G.I. Joe, Inhumanoids, and Jem.

So yeah, I'm all for a shared universe, whatever media might support it. And like you said, M.A.S.K. being a Joe offshoot that uses Cybertronian tech (or reverse-engineered Cybertronian tech) makes a great deal of sense. Heck, M.A.S.K.'s villian is even called V.E.N.O.M., which totally sounds like an COBRA offshoot (given Cobra's penchant for naming everything they can after snakes).

When it comes to fictional franchises crossing over with each other, I follow the Zelda Rubinstein rule: all are welcome, all welcome!

What we could end up having is 'Hasbro cinematic universe' to rival that of Marvel's own. Think about it, Hasbro releases rebooted G.I. Joe and Transformer films along with M.A.S.K. films, put little easter eggs and references to the other films, before throwing all three franchises into a three hour, money-making bayfest of explosions and awesomeness!

even if you did that doesnt really signify a fictional cross over.

DUDE...BP...I love some of your ideas..and I enjoy our conversations on the boards..But this is a KILLER idea.

MASK could be a subline (Like BF2000) in GIJOE, but mabye a PMC or private group, and TF could be alien menace/allies..

    your onto something.

That's possible but still rather highly unlikely.

Well, while I am not really into shared universes (I believe in franchises being more creative by themselves), I guess that if they can find a way to make it successfully and effectively work out (as the above person has quoted above), then yeah, they can go ahead and make one.

And bring in the Ponies. Hasbro should go the whole nine yards and introduce Ponies. Maybe have them start off as humans at Equestria High and then change into their pony form or something. The Equestria High angle may make a live-action MLP possible/feasible.
