Stanley Tucci was way better than John turturro. I like John turturro but he was wack in all 3 tf films he was in, except maybe the first. So many cringeworthy lines 'criminals are hot!, tell Megatron.. let's tango!'. I loved how Tucci was a dead serious character who could also be funny as shit. 'how do you say get the fuck out of my way in chinese?!' If walberg doesn't come back I really hope Tucci does, and becomes the John turturro to this half of the series. With Galvatron still out there maybe Joshua Joyce will be helping the autobots to atone for his KSI sins.
Same. I can't decide if I like Simmons or Joyce more, but I can say that Tucci's energy in that role really made it something great as opposed to something abysmal. Sure, he had some cringeworthy moments, but on the whole, he wasn't that bad.
Stan's character was one of the best one in the movie! Totally humorous and quiet interesting! I hope he returns in the sequels (if they will be any)

John Turturro's character grew on me by the third film. For me, he was so wacky I just stopped taking him seriously. But I agree, Tucci was better. I could take Tucci seriously from the start, yet he made me laugh.
Eh... I still liked "ONE MAN, alone! Betrayed by the country he loves." But if these two were in TF5 together, that'd be fun.
Agent Simmons is the greatest thing ever committed to celluloid. I mean, he doesn't work in as an actual threat in the first one, but when the sequels just let him be comic relief...
I like both, but Tucci stole it for me. I thought he was fantastic all around. I have heard that the main cast (I assume that includes Tucci) have all signed on for three films. Whether that's true or not, or will come to pass has yet to be seen, but I'd definitely like to see him (and the rest of the cast) return for the sequels. Just...no more Sam and his friggin' happy time and his wack ass parents and way too good for him girlfriends.
Honestly I'd have to wait and see how they do Joyce in the sequels first before I could make up my mind.
Tucci was a better actor, but Simmons was hysterical. He was, quite clearly, deranged and possiby under the influence of something magical.
ROTF really redeemed Simmons for me and I grew to love him, he was just batshit crazy and became a hero (and kept failing to sacrifice himself ) Joyce was okay too, but I felt like towards the end everything would continuously halt and come back to him saying something funny. And yeah he was funny, but it felt odd that it was that rinse-repeat for the entire last hour of the film.
