One thing I absolutely hated about ROTF was how the matrix disintegrated into dust and reformed at the end. How stupid was that? But now with AoE, could the matrix have been 'dormant' transformium? It would explain that dust nonsense but it still wouldn't explain 'robo-heaven'.
I don't know but it's certainly made of transformium.I wonder if there are more in that heavenly dimension
Optimus (G1): Soon i shall be one with the Matrix. so if G1 prime saying that, it most mean that the Matrix is like an afterlife for the tf, (just like in some verses the Allspark is reffered to asthe after life), so if its an afterlife in G1, maybe the same applies for the movie, Sam spirit went to the Matrix or the Prime summoded his spirit to the Matrix
Totally agree with the OP. This was one of my main issues with ROTF. In the context of old G1 cartoon or written material like comics, yes I can accept "robo-heaven." In live action film it didn't fit or make sense. Especially the damn matrix reforming. Now, you know Sam didn't get EVERY little peice of dust into that sock, and it still completely reforms. As if he came out of the dream world with it. I thought it was pushing something way too hard, even in a film with talking robots from space. The theory tying it to transformium makes it a little more bearable tho, kudos!
Yes, I already argued these before against the repetitive Transformers Theologist Prophets on this forum when I was earlier active but they never listened. RoTF is very Divine-Primordial-Pantheon-Super-Natural based as opposed to AoE that gave impressions of an Archaic-Prometheus take on the Transformers origins. It's not a good idea to reconcile these because to reconcile the mythos of Bayformers, while very interesting at most, only feels forced and out of style and theme of the respective movies vibes. Just head-canon pulled out of our behinds. Any who, the writers did not think of associating Transformium with the Matrix, considering the difference of animation in which the Matrix was more Sandy conforming to the background Ancient Aliens theme in Egypt it was capturing as opposed to the floating science fiction cuby boxes from the un-natural artificial Cybertronians. There is a lack of a long time continuity nod between movies at best. I made my own version of a Reimagined Transformers universe based on the Bayformers Lore reconciling everything from the movies but a re-written mythos and modified lore and events but even that was horrible at best once I tried.
I like that idea. It would help bring some science to the Matrix's magic. Don't know what anyone has against robo-heaven.
I don't recall a problem with Rodimus entering the Matrix, speaking with the deceased Primes about the Quintessons nor do I recall a problem with Optimus speaking with the deceased Alpha Trion.
Well, basically, everything Transformers is tranformium - it's the metal everything Cybertronian is made of, explaining how they can split apart and reform, rescan, regrow broken parts and bullets, etc. KSI just found a way for it to break apart into blocks, but even regular Transformers are made of it. It's indeed not a stretch to think that the Matrix is made of the same stuff. Agreed. I understand ' regular' movie-goers did not understand that part, but for Transformers fans it's pretty hypocritical: Sam's mind entered the Matrix - the device that is and always was, across universes, a sort of gateway to Transformers afterlife. More hardcore fans suddenly having a problem with it, or not understanding it, is still kind of baffling to me - and the movie even shows the Matrix in Sam's hand, and the camera zooming in and out of it. Thought it was pretty clear. ROTF had many problems, 'robot heaven' was not one of them. In my opinion.
The Primes said that the matrix is earned, not found. So, after Sam Witwicky went to Robo-heaven and had a word with the Primes, the power and knowledge of the shard from the AllSpark moved from his mind into the remains of the Matrix.
Only the Matrix disintegrated at some point and Sam was still able to Commune with the Primes. This would suggest the Matrix isn't so much heaven, but possibly like the Ark of the Covenant, the Door, or the Way leading there.
They should start writing a Cybertronian Torah, with Optimus as an Archangel and Sam as a Prophet already.
I already stated this theory months ago. Oh Sam did not enter the Matrix. The Allspark was in his head after all. According to Optimus the Allspark contains their entire history. My take in this when the Primes died their sparks returned to the Allspark. The Allspark sought the Matrix as a container and it manipulated Sam to get it as it knows thanks to the Primes where it is.
Intresting. The matrix can be retconned as being made from transformium but I doubt that idea will ever occur to the writers unless someone tells them about it
