I kind of liked the dinobots. Even if they weren't featured very much I think they still got better treatment than other favorites like devastator and shockwave did. My only complaints are including a spinosaurus and giving swoop 2 heads. Why a spinasaurus? He literally was a lesser grimlock. What about the brontosaurus?

Loved them. I just wish they would've talked.

I liked the Dinobots, but I have a few issues with your question(s)

How so? Devastator appeared, did something cool, then died. Shockwave appeared, did something cool, then died. The Dinobots appeared, did some cool stuff, then went away. The only real difference is that the Dinobots didn't die.

I don't quite see how a robotic version of the largest land predator to ever live is a lesser Grimlock. Care to elaborate?

But like I said earlier, I do like the Dinobots. However, they could have been handled a lot better. I'm still hoping they return in TF5 so they can do more with them

Devestator sucked- literally. He showed up, he sucked up some sand, couldn't even kill mudflap, then died. Shockwave showed up, did nothing but shoot optimus and get him tangled in wires, then died

They were awesome. Definitely better than the other big guys, like Devastator and the Driller. Unfortunately, they were perhaps the weakest part of AOE. They were the most hyped part of the film despite being barely used, they were rather pointless, nothing about them was explained and they weren't even named. Heck, the film never even calls them Dinobots. It wold have been much better to spend that time and CGI on the many, many other aspects of the film that needed extending and/or clarifying.

They weren't featured much, but unlike most people I somehow wasn't expecting that, nor did I mind.

Their origins were intentionally unexplained, as food for TF5. They did not speak, which I expected even less than them having a large presence. They went above and beyond what I expected, however, with the scenes they were in.

    In short, they were awesome.

So what? I said that Spinosaurus was a predator. Here's the definition of a predator: An organism that lives by preying on other organisms

Last time I checked fish are organisms

Also here's some more Spinosaurus info. Spinosaurus was likely to have been a generalized and opportunistic predator, possibly a Cretaceous equivalent of large grizzly bears, eating fish and small to medium sized terrestrial prey

The Dinobots were the main reason I saw AoE... and of course they were only in it for the last 15 minutes, with the film seemingly unable to decide what story it wanted to tell with them and ultimately feeling like they could've been removed entirely. Who'd have thought something with THAT much advert presence would've mattered so little?

I liked them. They fit perfectly in the movie universe and aesthetic. I didn't need them to talk.

The Dinobots were....a major let down for quite a few people including myself.

For how much they were built up and advertised you would think the movie would be primarily about them or at least involve them more than just the ending fight. Instead we got nothing about them, no backstory, no character, it was a wasted opportunity.

Same here. I was hopping for a "Me, Grimlock!"

I was hoping they would have been a bigger part of the story, as much as they were being hyped. Them being in the movie felt like an after thought to me.

Would have sorta, kinda, maybe been cool if they were actually called Dinobots in the movie or referred to by name. But I supposed that would be asking too much. :confused2

I thought the final result was pretty rad, but I do wish they included the other three from the toylines. The Dinobot charge was probably the coolest thing from that movie.

    That's not a fact.

Anyway the Dinobots were the business, sadly more screen time was wasted in other things.

I liked their designs and I loved the new addition of Scorn. I just wish that Strafe had only one head and was called Swoop. Oh, and they needed characterization. And they needed to speak. Really, I just like their designs.
