Hey guys and gals of TFW2005! Before you tell me how you don't want a reboot right now, let me say that I don't either. I want the Bay series to end first, then a new series can come.
Now this is going to be a brief overview of how I'd like the series to go, not an overly detailed screenplay.
In addition to the main series, there would also be spinoff films for the Wreckers, the Dinobots, and others who deserve it.

Ok wow dude, uhhm some ideas are ok but I don't think we'll ever have even half of these robots & cars in transformers movie. Let alone a new trilogy with 8 films

 

You never know  . Star Wars is supposed to be getting a new movie every year for the next 40 years, from what I've heard. I don't think 10 movies is asking for a lot lol

 

I would like them to fight for something rather than killing eachother mindlessly for nothing.I don't know,in every series Megatron/Galvatron had bigger plans than only world domination(except RID I think)

 

They would be in my series, I'm just not a good writer. I'm not sure what they'd be fighting for. Besides, these are just overviews of each plot

Cybertron have fallen into the hands of Decepticons.
Earth is a place the Autobots have escaped to, until Megatron finds out that the planet is tactical centrally for his plan to expand his decepticon empire to conquer the entire galaxy, so it becomes a last stand for both sides. A true siege warfare, where the Autobots mainly have the upper hand, but the Cons have the tactical advantage of having all the planets in the sol system under there hands.
If earth falls the entire Galaxy falls into Megatron hands. And some of the major earth cities with a massive enslaved industrial workforce.

In an all out war between the Cons, and Autobots with there human allies a third party emerges.
The true leaders of the Galaxy, the quints. Who after a failed attempt on destroying earth and the cybertronians, wake up Unicron as a last try to put the Cons down.
They wake him up with the purpose on devouring earth and stop the Cons once and for all.
Thinking they are able to control him,it turns out that they control nothing.

The earth environment, no more big cities in existence other then those under con control, where the population is enslaved for industrial work for the cons, people mostly on the run in an almost destroyed planet, low on resources, harsh environment for survival with a few autobot/human controlled places where they can live.

Actually that don't need to be a movie, it could be the plot of the first two or three season of a live action series.
And the costs could be brought down by mostly being filmed in deserts.

 

I hate to tell you but Transformers is no where near as popular as Star Wars.

 

First of all, an 8-movie series with all those Bots in it would probably cost a hell of a lot of money to produce. I've always believed robot casts in a Transformers movie should always be small; have less characters but do more with them. Plus, as much as we all whine about it, human characters and scenes are necessary in live-action, because it costs much, much less to put a real human actor on screen for several minutes than it does for a CGI Transformer robot.

That said, if I were to mastermind a rebooted movie series, Id spread the story over four movies, and for the robot cast I'd have as follows:

Movie 1:
Optimus, Wheeljack, Hoist, Jazz and Bumblebee for the Autobots, and Soundwave, Laserbeak, Starscream, Ransack, Crumplezone and Lugnut for the Decepticons.

Movie 2:
Introduce Elita-1, Ratchet, Cheetor and Jetfire for the Autobots, and Megatron, Shockwave, Waspinator, an Insecticon hive and the Constructicons (Not all six, maybe just four) for the Decepticons. Most importantly, I'd kill off at least two Bots on each side, to keep the numbers down so the next movie isn't over-stuffed, plus to make room for newer toys.

Movie 3:
Introduce Alpha Trion, Arcee, Ironhide and Nexus Prime for the Autobots, and The Fallen, Duststorm (based on the female Decepticon from Transformers: Universe), Rumble and Ravage for the Decepticons. Once again, kill off at least two on each side.

Movie 4:
Prowl, Depth Charge and Springer for the Autobots, Cyclonus and Scourge for the Decepticons and Unicron for........well just himself really.

 

Uh...having an assload of characters is cool and all, but...shouldn't we focus on having a good story before all that? Cause...I don't know, when you're making a movie, isn't the story kind of...IMPORTANT?

It is, this is just a wish list of cast.

Totally agree story is important something with a good social commentary yet entertaining whilst pulling a few heart strings. I've been studying screenplay

Top 10 Central Themes in Film - The Script Lab

The live action films have been based on "The Battle" however if there was a reboot "Triumph over Adversity" would be a cool direction. Have the Decepticons unstoppable until the final third (I'm a Decepticon fan boy lol)

 

I like to have see the movies have a small cast with cameos of other character.
Movie 1
Autobots go to earth
Megatron isn't fully showen. Only bits in shadows when he gives out orders.
Lockdown is the villain trying to find the autobots.

Movie 2
Megatrons attacks earth.
It causes the autobots to become R.i.d at the end.

Movie 3
Will have a look similar to mad max due to earths destruction
Some big main characters die
Ending teases off bigger villain

Movie 4
Unicron attacks/ final movie
Unicron reformats the dead bots from the 3rd movie
Megatron dies while trying to stop unicron
Optimus defeats unicron

 

I like smaller Autobot casts because we get to know them better.

TF2 - Starscream and Shockwave (Starscream isn't really a main villain. + Shocky tries to kill him, but SS joins the Bots.

TF7 - Galvatron and Nemesis Prime and Unicron

personally i'm quite satisfied with the current movie universe.

sure, we've been spoonfed mindless explosions and seemingly hollow plots by bay and his team, but seeing AOE makes me think it's all coming together now. not really getting my hopes up but TF5 and TF6 will probably be filled with exposition and clearing the plot-holes.

also bay often redefines the characters in a different way, which pleases me. not-constructicon bonecrusher, boombox frenzy, tattoo starscream, evil sentinel prime, murder OP, beastmaster shockwave, fat hound.. etc.

because sometimes, "sticking to the originals" just feels boring, contrary to popular belief.

 

Your idea is nearly flawless. I love it but I would say they can get a movie with Unicron by himself. Maybe after Prime fights it out with nemesis and galvy somehow galvy and prime team up to take on Unicron.

 

4-6 movies depending on whether i want it to stay on earth or not

1) autobots vs decepticons, standard shit
2) elaboration in cybertron's entanglement with earth
3) continuation of 2
4) final stand, hot rod becoming rodimus, yadda yadda

5) lockdown hunts rodimus and decepticons plot...
6) rodimus is taken to ancient enemy, elaboration on cybertron's origins and all

Unicron is the big bad in acts 2 and 3, basically Galvatron pulls a season 1 Prime Megatron, and Nemesis is now alive due to Unicron
