Yes we all now that Lockdown butchered Ratchet, but I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Lockdown didn't destroy Ratchet's spark, he grabbed it & presumably took it somewhere, As the spark (in Optimus' words) 'is a vessel which carries our life-force'/ soul. Could it be possible for KSI to rebuild Ratchet's body and place his spark into it.

 

Well, we don't know what Lockdown did with it. It's last seen being retracted into his arm alongside the extractor; perhaps he's consumed it for power, assimilated it, or he's dumped it on his ship, either in the trash or in a trophy case. The life and memories of an Autobot medic probably isn't much value to him.

But I doubt he'd give it to KSI. Putting a functional spark into one of their bodies would only bring Ratchet back, which defies the point of killing him in the first place. They only need the body for metal, so Lockdown keeps the core.

 

What I meant was that as the Autobots now have Lockdown's ship, if he did keep it as a trophy then couldn't KSI use any remaining transformium & create a body for him as a way to pay for the deaths they caused.

 

We don't know if the spark survived because Jetfire's faded quite fast.You can see KSI building a white head of Ratchet in the other room but maybe it was a prop.

 

I think it should be noted jetfire was also injured. not to mention it would have made more sense for it do have just been destroyed then and there instead of taking it away so i guess anything can happen  

 

I imagine he just put it into his trophy case. Seems like the likely thing Lockdown would do. I can't see him taking it only to destroy it later. Seems like a bit of a waste

Except they don't. If you look in the background of the scene at the end of the film where the Autobots regroup at the harbour, you can clearly see the ship moving and the pillars folding down, which, based on the Chicago scene, would indicate it's about to take off

So the only one's who could be in possession of the Knight's Teminos now are Galvatron (Less Likely), or Lockdown's servants (Most Likely)

I wonder if Prime could use the Matrix (if he still has it) to revive his fallen Autobots.

 

What of the Matrix of Leadership??? If KSI rebuild Ratchet a body, then insert it into it, all Optimus needs to do when he returns is to put the Matrix into him.

 

If the body is still intact as Sentinel's was he can but of course SP was in stasis

 

He must still have it as I doubt he would have let the humans steal it off him. Also as long as Lockdown kept the other fallen Autobots' spark then it is possible. I highly doubt it as I feel Lockdown & Ratchet had history so maybe Lockdown kept Ratchet's as a trophy to prove to himself that he won after so long.

 

KSI could give repairs to the other dead Autobots like Jazz, Arcee twins, etc. And Prime could use the Matrix when he returns.

 

What actually did happen to their bodies once they died?? Did Prime bury them or what???

 

Well for Arcee twins most likely still in Egypt or KSI took their bodies and for Jazz I have no idea.

 

I think they threw Jazz with the Decepticons in the Laurentian Abyss

 

Hopefully the sequel addresses the issue of Lockdown taking sparks as trophies, but knowing Bay, I'm willing to bet the issue is simply ignored and Ratchet's spark is never brought up or seen again.

Similarly, Bay and his writers never really clarify what the Allspark or the Matrix does except when it suits the story as a MacGuffin. Bringing back dead characters (aside from Optimus, of course, since he's Robo Jesus) probably isn't something they'll do seeing how they need space on the Bots roster to introduce new characters and sell toys of said new characters (similar to how they killed off a lot of the G1 Bots in the original animated TFTM to make room for the Season 3 guys' introductions and sell their toys). If the Matrix could resurrect dead Bots other than a Prime, we'd probably have seen Jazz by now or Wheeljack/Que back (whose bodies were relatively intact, unlike Ironhide whose body simply corroded into unrecoverable rust).

 

Would Optimus have allowed that? Jazz was his first lieutenant
after all.

 

They better bring it up!! Anyway they need a medic to replace him (if he does get replaced).
They replaced Jazz with Sideswipe & now Crosshairs & Ironhide was replaced by Hound.
