Judge however you want... personality, vocabulary, mannerisms, apperance, etc. Go from TV or comics or a combo of both. Just take a guess at how old the human equivalent of the G1 characters would be. My guesses:
Optimus - late 30's
Ultra Magnus - early 30's
Bumblebee - 21
Prowl - 40
Jazz - 28
Ironhide - early 60's
Kup - mid 70's
Grimlock - 45
Sideswipe/Sunstreaker - 25
Brawn - 45
Hotrod - 23
Rodimus Prime - 28 (I know he "grew up" in a second, but still...)
Blurr - 22
Springer - 32
Arcee - 28
Wheeljack - 42
Ratchet - 44
Perceptor - 33
Blaster - 25
Megatron - mid 50's
Galvatron - early 30's
Scourge - early 50's
Cyclonus - 40
Starscream - 32
Thundercracker - 36
Skywarp - 28
Soundwave - 45
Rumble - 22
Shrapnel - 33
Bombshell - 42

I'd say both Prime and Magnus are about the same age and in their early 40's. I'd also think that Bumblebee is a teenager (i.e. 16-18, just enrolled in the war). I always figured Jazz & the Seekers to be older, in the same age category as Prime, Magnus, Soundwave, and Prowl.
Lastly, I'd give Megs late 40's to early 50's (not old enough to retire yet, but in Starscream's mind 'yes'). |

As far as I have seen, Japanese fans seem to put the TFs ages much younger.
Another difference,eh. |

Another difference,eh. | Yeah like in Galaxy Force Skids and Hop sound like little kids. In Cybertron they sound a bit older.
I would say Ultra Magnusis about 50 because in "Only Human" when a few Autobots were turned in to human Magnus had grey hair. |
