"Hate" might be a strong word, so substitute dislike if you want. You can pick from any series you want. Try to explain it, don't just give one-word answers.

For me, there are plenty of things I don't like, but off the top of my head I'll say this: I don't really like any origin story given to us.

 

This is a time for celebrating the franchise, not throwing dirt at it, and to be honest I'm not very good at pointing out flaws.

The fandom.

 

Humans. They weren't executed very well since the Unicron Trilogy until Animated came along. I hope the next series can pull another Prime with the humans.

 

I personally think the movies are going to eventually undo all the good they've done for the franchise. Seriously, it's a movie that first and foremost is meant to sell toys to children, making each successive movie darker than the last by simply having more people die on screen in more horrific and graphic ways is not the way to go. Not only that, but it's getting stale. I mean come on, the big thing the Decepticons are doing is more or less the exact same plan of blowing up cities like why they pointlessly destroyed most of Chicago in DOTM? ROTF had a shittier plot but at least it still managed to be somewhat original in at least having The Fallen try to indirectly exterminate humanity via extinguishing the Sun.

 

The movies. I mean I like them but they could be ten times better

 

The decepticons' lack of characterization lately.

Heck, the lack of ANYONE getting characterization but Optimus and Bumblebee.

 

I "hate" Transformers stories that over-complicate Cybertronian technology. It almost always leads to plot holes. For example, once every bot had their own trans-scanners and holo-projectors, it seemed like they just didn't make the best use of those abilities. And I'd include CNA and sparks under this category.

It was simpler and more elegant when they were just a race of living, feeling, sentient robots who each happened to have a unique super-power.

 

You still have to use your hands to transformer the toys!!

The nonstop usage of the characters over and over in tv media recently.

I missed what the Beast Era had, new characters with different backgrounds, personalities, different story ideas, different alt modes. I want to have Autobot and Decepticon characters that are different. I don't want something that calls back to G1, I want something that pushes forward.

Give me somewhat good Autobots, give me noble Decepticons, give me characters with different optic colors again, give me something with different alt mode choices. Now it's mainly normal cars/trucks/cycles and military or alien aircraft. I don't want predicable, I want bold and original.

 

Not knowing what the long term plans for the Masterpiece line, lol, Other than that nothing except Miko and the humans in the Bay films.

 

Not being able to find many TFs in the stores any more.

 

Bayformers. Just about everything about it.

-The scrapmetal skeleton designs
-The ugly faces designed as collages of metal fragments
-MuscleBee
-Kill-em-all-brutally Optimus
-Apescream the beige chickenbug who's perfectly loyal to Megatron
-Megatron, the wandering servant
-The snarling monster Decepticons who get little-to-no character
-The conspiracy-disaster plots
-The toilet humor
-The bland, unrelatable humans
-The dominating focus on the bland, unrelatable humans
-Michael Bay's cold attitude towards the brand's lore, which results in him leaving every bit of recognizability on the table that the writers or Hasbro didn't sneak in or force on him
-The Allspark Cube. No. Absolutely not.
-Dropped plot points and logical absurdities. The glasses, the hackers, Barricade just disappearing, trying to put Cybertron in Earth's orbit without even mentioning the kind of global catastrophes that would cause, teleporting across the globe with it still being daytime...I'm sure I missed a few.
-A lot(not all) of the people that the movies temporarily attract into the fandom. Most of them are rude, misinformed jocks or "edgy" teenage hipsters who jump from fandom to fandom following the latest 2-hour noisefest that caught their attention.
-The association. "You like Transformers? I bet you're excited for the new movie!"

Don't forget how Sentinel Prime's plan was only possible to even concieve because he actually put effort into trying to be as lazy as possible.
