If you were to make a show just about the Wreckers, who would be on that team and who would the villains be?
Just about every wrecker character. The villain would be the Predacons, human made transformers or a Decepticon splinter cell
I'd probably adapt LAST STAND (with a few alterations obviously). Wreckers Roster Roadbuster - the leader Leadfoot Topspin Springer - gone bonzo like TFA Blitzwing Seaspray - a Popeye-like Autobot Wheeljack - the resident tech dude Ironfist Impactor - the loose cannon and vigilante The antagonist?... Overlord.
I'd go with a generally new cast, just for fun: Chainclaw - Pure rage Cloudburst - Aerial support Warpath - Guzzle replacement Sunstreaker - Cold enough to be a proper Wrecker Brainstorm - Tech genius Grapple - The leader Sludge - Brute force and overlooked all the time, deserves some screen time
I'd use the 'original' group as the main cast but any and all non-movieverse Wreckers would be used in a way similar to how Batman: The Brave & The Bold did their team-ups...so Impactor, Roadbuster, Whirl, Topspin, Twin Twist and Rack 'n' Ruin...with Springer getting the most guest spots in season 1 and eventually replacing Impactor as a full-time member and leader after Roadbuster leads a few mission and hands over control to Springer...guest spots from non-Wreckers like the G1 Omnibots would be included...there main enemies would be Bludgeon, Mindwipe and Bugly acting as solo threats as well as some form of the Mayhem Attack Squad and in a lesser role Squadron X and Jhiaxus as a solo threat...
I'd refuse to watch it. If it were on a premium channel, I would cancel my subscription just to make sure I didn't accidentally come across it. I'd love the hell out of life if the Wreckers never got mentioned again.
The Wreckers show would basically be The A team with robots if i had any say sooo.... Kup - Hannibal Springer - Face Roadbuster Or Leadfoot - B. A. Baracus Whirl - Murdock Arcee - Amy Crosshairs - Frankie
Still don't understand "G1PROWL's" hatred of The Wrecker's.., but I'd love to see ANY team w/ IDW style animation. Maybe be set post-Dark Cybertron with Whirl starting a separate Wrecker team.
Wreckers Roadbuster - Leader, thinks before he acts, most of the time, but has problems with leading. Leadfoot - Like the Scotsman from Samurai Jack. His leg turns into a gun and he has a big sword. Topspin - The Wreckers Medic, Doesn't talk much, Likes to be alone, especially when working. Seaspray - Distracts his enemies with a whistle. Bulkhead - TFP Bulk, buddies with Seaspray. Has past with Breakdown. Whirl - The best Wrecker ever, has insane ideas that work out really well. Hates Shockwave, don't ask. Tailgate - Young Wrecker apparently killed by Breakdown Humans Agent Fowler - TFP Fowler, Keeps eye on the Wreckers. Miko - 16 year old girl who stumbles upon the Wreckers, Loves to rock, adventurous Villains Dreads Crowbar - Ruthless Leader Crankcase - Predator Hatchet - Like TFP Hardshell Breakdown - TFP Bd Knockout - TFP Skyquake - TFP Dreadwing - TFP
If there was a Wreckers show, I wouldn't be surprised if Optimus was in it and he was originally Pyro instead of Orion Pax. You can't have a Transformers show without Optimus
I do feel a little Wreckers fatigue, myself. I think a one-shot Wreckers micro-series would be fun (I really do keep bringing up G.I.Joe Resolute, don't I?)...but a whole TV show would be oversaturation for me. I enjoyed the Wreckers more when they weren't so mainstreamed...now it's like some kind of awful TF frat.
Yeah, I love the Wreckers as much as the next guy, but they've been kind of done now. I'd be happy for them to go on the back burner for a bit.
The Wreckers? Most likly just the marvel comics crew (to start). And Have U.Mages as there base contact they always radio. The villains would HAAAAVVVVEEEEE to change alot and often. If they were stuck fighting the same team of villains every week. That'd be weak sauce for sure. The Wreckers are a team taking on the hardest jobs; moving to where they'd be needed. So the villains wouldn't even need to be Decepitcons all the time, the problem could be an automated strong hold or a force-field blocking traffic in space, or some sort of natural hazard that's trapped other autobots. I'd also image they'd have to have a constant changing walk-on cast, because the wreckers move to where their needed. Which means they'd be helping or assisting or carrying people through their overwhelming problems. And more importantly. If this Wreckers show is to be about The Wreckers. The team who takes on the hardest most deadly jobs? Even the 'main cast' would have to change often. Because you'd need to kill them often enough to show that they are in real danger all the time. So you would sit down to an episode unsure who or if anyone is going to die this week, with the real story since that these characters and in danger. Soooo..... in short.....you can't have a set team or set villains. It would defeat the point of The Wreckers. And that would be one awesome show.
I'm all for new villians but I'm not sure why that's nessesary. TFP had a small cast just like Wreckers and they were always fighting Starscream, Soundwave, and Knockout.
