They doubted it would last 30, so another 30 isn't too far fetched unless we get into some true dystopian future shit :bay . Then we'd have to sift through the rubble to cobble together some transformers, like true Junkions :tumbleweed:

i have a lot of G1 transformers that i got new back in the day ...the first one i was given i'm looking at right now , Cliffjumper . He`s standing on my desk ...a tad faded , the Autobot symbol that was on his chest is long gone but the glue stain is still there ...he`s got all his rubber tires , his head leans way back and thats ok .I saw the first eps new. When i was six years old Soundwaves voice blew my mind , when i saw Dark of the moon i told everyone i saw it already when it was called " the ultimate doom " . When i see Prowl in the G1 cartoon i think he`s a dick now because of IDW now and i`m sad cause he wasnt then .......30 years ....it just doesn't sound right when i read all the tributes and acknowledgments but thank you jebus for Transformers ....so many happy good memories and thank you James Roberts for keeping my fav characters awesome and me interested in all this .

Happy anniversary to my favorite "franchise." I was there for your birth in 1984, then left you behind as a teenager around 1988; I flirted with you briefly in 2001 (as a step-father, bonding with my then-step-son), reminisced about the "good old days" when the live-action movie series launched in 2007, then totally re-embraced my love for you when I discovered reruns of the G1 cartoon on The Hub in early 2011.

At 41-years-of-age, I'm happy to say that I'm every bit as fascinated by these robots in disguise now as I was in 1984.

A big "thank you," as well, to those who moderate/edit/contribute to the Transformers Wiki...I've spent that past 3 1/2 years catching up on all that I missed, thanks to that wonderful site.

    Here's to another 30 years...

    ^^ I couldn't agree with you more. ^^

I'm just sad that I missed the show on Sept 17.

Just discovered this thread, great job sol on the articles. Real nice trip down memory lane with the 80s stuff and good job recapping 2002-2005, which for me was when i rediscovered TF as an adult.

I remember the enthusiastic response to the unicron trilogy cartoon with torrent notifications, the fan anticipation for the unicron toy, and the excitement of the MP and alt/bt line. Those early years on the boards were really fun and it was great getting to know other TF fans.

I was 10 when g1 happened, 20 for the BW era, 30 for the unicron trilogy era and turned 40 last year and we're still getting all these awesome toys. And since the live action movie came out now we have this new generation thats growing up with brand. Pretty heady stuff when u think abt it.

Thread was started in 2014 batfan, we didn't have likes back then... as other newer members read it, I'm sure they'll be more likes. :thumb

    Yup, I'm aware of that.
That's why I posted to bump the thread and encourage more folks to check it out.
I'm also Re-reading it from the beginning.

Quick question: Before ROTF was written, were all of the original 13 Primes or was Prima the only Prime among them?
