Question About DPCI Numbers...

The DPCI numbers are for the entire case the toys ship in and not the individual boxes inside right???

I used the DPCI number to track down the U. RID guys at Target the other night and there was some confusion with the worker there as to what I was looking for... I ended up just asking him to bring out the entire case...

If the DPCI number is only for the entire case, are there codes or numbers we can use to track down the individual boxes inside???

Just so everyone knows what you mean:

Don't know if they have unique numbers for each, though.

Ahhh, so I take it with it being on the case that the number is for entire thing and not the individual boxes inside...

And I gather each new case get a new DPCI number???

Yup. Only way it works for a single item is if, as with some store exclusives, it's the only thing in the case. The Target Clone Battlepack and Utapau (black) Clone, I punched the number in and the guy brought 'em out. Those being the only things in the case, it wasn't a problem.
For these, if I go the DPCI route, I'll just ask the guy to bring out the whole case, say thanks and casually leave the Overbite/Repugnus pack on the shelf after he wanders off.

And thus hopefully I'll get to keep the case out of the deal.

That cardboard box is worth its weight in gold dammit!!!

Now that I've been exposed to the profits of using the DPCI, hunting will by MUCH easier...

THEY CAN'T HIDE THE CASES IN THE STOCKROOM ANYMORE!!! I WILL KNOW THEY ARE LYING IF THEY TELL ME THEY DON'T HAVE ANY!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh God..you think the anti-box people scoff about the very idea that people save TF boxes for display and/or storage, what would they say about the couple of dozen cases I've managed to accumulate...to hold the boxes that hold the toys.

I intend to keep grabbing an Alt. case every so often so that they can all be stored easily. Other than that and the occasional SW figure case, it's kind of random. I did grab a BW 10th case, because it holds six..and there are six..and, well, do the math.

As for that Universe case, the only other Universe Mega(?) I picked up was Soundwave. And since I don't plan to buy Overbite/Repugnus, the two Constructicon packs and Soundwave make three. And how many does a case hold? Say it with me...

Five!

Three, sir!

Three!

I was just informed that DPCI numbers won't be assisting me in my future hunts for ALTs and CYB since they use the same DPCI numbers as the previous case...

I was hoping that each new assortment of cases came with a new DPCI number... I guess it's not so... If they use the old numbers, there's no telling whether or not it's a new assortment or an old one...
