How would you incorporate a new Beast Wars show with Primus & Unicron?

Cause what if the Maximals were sent from a future and sent to the present to save humankind's extinction by Unicron's rebirth?

 

I would simply choose not to. More often than not, I feel like they have a tendency to derail the story and distract from the Transformers themselves. I think both characters (but Primus especially) are best left to the role of quasi-mythological backstory, if mentioned at all.

 

Same here, in principle i feel more lenient towards Unicron because i like the concept and i do believe he can be used for a really good apocalyptic story, but only if Hasbro is prepared to let a TF universe die. Even so, the whole God thing just turns my stomach. I prefer to see him as the creation of alien civilisation at war with another one (kind of like the Giant planet vs planet X thing) that turned on it's creators and then on creation or some kind of preternatural side effect of the Big Bang.
Ultimately such a version of Unicron should be half Unicron half Tornedron, can't eat the universe if you can't eat stars
