ok try imagine having to explain beast machines to a non fan. its like transformers but instead of a red truck Optimus is an environmentalist, Buddhist, Monkey, wait come back. not that there is anything wrong with being any of the above and I do enjoy beast machines its just a bit embarrassed by it

    Armada:
    pro's- 2d animation/many original characters/mini-cons/Starscream/Unicron
    con's-rushed production/bad pacing/the kids/not living up to it's own awsome potential

    Prime:
pro's- Cullen/Welker/Arcee/Starscream/ basicly used Animated's cast/ the cgi is well done
con's- it's CGI/ cast is to small/ there isn't much fun in it/ Earth feels to barren/ not living up to it's own awsome potential

    Conclusion...... it's a draw

TF Prime blows Armada out of the water. It's a Transformers show for a more grown-up generation of fans.

shocked to see so much defence in favor of armada when back even as long ago as 2009 it was given the title of worst show ever.

i respect Armada it restarted the brand and it did have its high lights. 2 D animation is hard and even harder on a budget however they got lazy at many points. story wise its only really the unicron saga that did it for me.

Prime suffers beacuse it tries to copy so much from the films sadly the worst parts in regards to the Autobots. The Cons however are quite interesting. Animation wise its CGI so its quite consistent but i find the colours are dull like a crapy FPS when ever they are outside.

if i had to pick one prime would win.

Prime, because they got Soundwave. Armada didn't have him until Cybertron.

It will be interesting to see how this newish generation takes to and develops inside of fandom. I wonder if we will start having unicron trilogy version of a geewuner? I'm not sure what we would call that? I hope that never happens. If you got into transformers from that generation learn from and hopefully don't repeat the behaviour of the older generations

Well, there are episodes that easily blow Armada episodes out of the water. But overall I like Transformers Armada much better. Armada made me care for the characters and Transformers Prime doesn't.

    I love Armada's anime-esque take on the G1 aesthetic.

Now I've found I like Prime more then most, but I still said Armada. For all of its flaws it was a very fun show. Prime, for all of its good points, still suffers from the fact that the creative team seems focused on big epic moments with little thought given to moving the show and its plot points along. A lot of the big epic moments are cool, but seem to fall flat when looked at as part of a larger show.

Prime's a fine show, but I think Armada just had more energy.

I prefer TFP. For me the first half of TFA was too slow and drawn out. The Unicron Battles were a vast improvement.
Though TFA Starscream is my favorite incarnation of him.

I think I'm going to have to pick Armada. It was more enjoyable to watch than TFP so far, even though the kids in it did grate a little at times. Armada went to more places and has done more stuff, although I suppose I can put that down to the limitations of how TFP is made. I loved seeing the many cameos of G1 models in Armada, something that TFP can't really do unless it's in one of those painterly flashback stills. All the characters were quirky and most got some development in some way. And the second half of Armada is non-stop adventure and entertainment. And it's actually fun to watch.
