This was not one of those wet-your-pants episodes I was referring to, but if you managed to wet your pants with this ep.....oh man....

So, first ep through to last ep, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much did the series improve?

Also, what's your opinion on this version of "Megatron" so far?

i love beast megatron. yeeesss ....

i really liked beastwars alot. i still do it never bothered me that they yelled out a battle cry when they transformed. actually it was very cool in a way. maximals MAXIMIZE!!!

season 2 ... lets see. oh right! i really loved how the enviroment came to life during this season. but i wont spoiler.

beastwars for me showed me a side of transformers i never thought about, in that they have to build alot of their supplies, communication relays etc., all things that G! pretty much had set up and done most of the time.

That is actually my favorite episode of Beast Wars. I don't care what the haters of that episode have to say. Giant bean-powered fart, FTW. :D

I do like The Low Road, but because of the Rattrap/Dinobot interaction. I don't despise the farting thing, but I don't love it.

Don't worry. I've come to love to the Rattrap/Dinobot interaction in that episode as well. One of my favorite moments with those two in that episode is when they sucker-punch Tarantulas. I never get tired of that scene. :D

I love The Low Road, I still get a laugh from the fart and the Predacons blown to a tree.

Beast Wars is definitely a great series. Season 1 wasn't that good up until the final few episodes. Season 2 is amazing. Alot of memorable episodes including the fan favorite, Code of Hero. It had an excellent season finale as well. Season 3 was a little bit of a drop-off in quality. It didn't seem like it had much of a story arc to me. I still thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm sure you will.

It has improved a lot, IMO. If I hate to rate how much, I would say at least a 7 or 8.

In short, I love this version of Megtaron. First of all, David Kaye is an awesome VA. Add to that Megatron has a pretty awesome design, one of my favorites in BW, actually. And for some reason, his saying "Yes" all the time doesn't bug me at all (compared to Optimus' relatively infrequent use of "Prime").

Good old Beast Wars. Season 1 was slow to begin with but after episode 5 or 10, it was so much fun. Season 2, well let me just say that the Agenda 3 parter in the season 2 finale, is in my opinion the finest example of storytelling in Transformers history. Season 3 was good but there was too much comedy in it and it felt a little bit rushed, but it had a fantastic ending.

I hated Beast Machines when I first saw it. I went back a few months ago and I was blown away. Takes a long time to get used to it but after a while it was an epic ending to such a great era. It was also mercifully short. If you end up loving the characters at the end of Beast Wars, you may want to see what they get up to in Beast Machines later. Its worth a change.

Did you wet your pants in this 2-parter?

Well, everyone's got a recurring word like G1 Megatron's "retreat" and "ironic", G1 Starscream's always emphasizing the word "I" when talking about himself, Rattrap's nickname for Dinobot "Chopperface", etc etc etc. This Megatron just so happens to be very positive, yessssss....

I don't know if it was wet-your-pants good, but it was pretty darn good. I liked it.

Also, Just finished S2 Ep 1. I like how Rattrap, Cheetor, and Megs got new designs, but I kinda wanted more (new designs, that is). About to start Coming of the Fuzors Pt 1. Looking forward to it!

EDIT: Also, I have a feeling I'm going to order the entire series from Amazon. Is this the best set to get? Is it worth the price?

I've been watching it on and off recently, last episode I watched was the one that introduced Depth Charge. I know what happened to them, but why doesn't anyone give a damn that Tigatron and Airazor are currently MIA? They haven't even been mentioned.

Tigatron and Airrazor never lived with them at the base, they were like free range operatives they had working in the wild but yeah you would think they would have gotten a mention at some point.

Definitely one of Beast Wars biggest mistakes was getting rid of Tigatron and Airrazor.

OK, I'll await those moments from you :p

Oooo...Coming of the Fuzors Pt 1...

I bought mine less than a dollar more than that price, plus $5 shipping. You can wait if you want, but once you have it, you don't have to worry about it anymore.

I just want to make sure I have the best available set (without paying insane prices). From my little bit of research, this is the best I could find, and was just looking for second opinions before I pruchase.

That DVD set is the best release of the show there is, and for the price, I'd highly recommend it.

Hm. I will probably ask for that for my birthday, then, since my 18th is tomorrow.

Watch Beast Machines afterwords!! Alot of people don't like it, but its very underrated. Probably the most mature and darkest writing in all of Transformers mythos. I love it.
