Regarding 1984forever's complaints:

Shakespeare's works have been adapted and updated many, many times. We've got versions of Shakespeare which didn't require ancient or medieval settings, and where the cast wasn't required to dress up in Elizabethan garb - or required to be white, English actors. We even have versions of Shakespeare where at least part of the dialogue has been updated.

Why should Transformers be exempt from being updated? If Hasbro is still cranking out Transformers 50 years from now, don't you think they need to adapt to what would be current in that time period?
