Which beast mode suits Optimus the best?

Gorilla (BEAST WARS)
Lion (BEAST WARS II)
Elephant (BEAST WARS NEO)

I’d go for the elephant, because of its novelty. The gorilla is a kaiju homage ( King Kong), and the lion is a Tezuka homage (Kimba the White Lion). There’s nothing really wrong with those modes and they fit him well, but the elephant is somewhat original.

Don't like beasts. But I always thought a lion made more sense. Don't know why. Then a mammoth for the sheer size. Not ape.

For some reason Optimus Prime being a Mammoth just makes no sense to me

I'll always like Lio Convoy's design the best. He's kind of a non-character though. If Optimus Primal had Lio Prime's design initially that woulda just been grand

Lion seems the obvious choice, but I like the gorilla, for the 'powerful and intelligent' impression given off.

Not really a big optimus fan but I think the Lion mode would be the best choice. Whith a lion you have strength and senses. Not only that a lion is symbolically royalty and kingship. A mammoth on the other hand while big and powerfull would also be slow. A gorilla is the worst of the three. Than too I like lions and I'm not a fan of apes or mammoth's.
