If Marvel still owned the Transformers........

Wouldn't the films be under Marvel Studios?
Would the comics still be made by Marvel instead of IDW?
Would we see Transformers in Marvel games, as well as Marvel VS Capcom games?

If Marvel still owned the Transformers today, how do you think things would've been?

Marvel never owned Transformers. They had the comic rights in the 80s but Hasbro owned the franchise.

Hasbro only paid Marvel to write the comics. They didn't get exclusive rights.

We'd have 20 movies, including movies about a single character.

Transformers would also be toned down and have shows for 5 year olds.

I don't think they quite paid Marvel to write the comics. They might have paid them initially to do the back story, and character development, but after that, it's more like Marvel chose to do more books, and then pay Hasbro for the use of the Transformers in their comics.

We'd have 20 better done movies and yes probably one about Bumblebee (shudders at the thought of toy shelves filled with even more Bumblebees)

Also, Hasbro has shows for 5 year olds *Looks at Rescue Bots*

Nothing wrong with having Disney backing you up, look at all the exposure Marvel's gotten since.

But seriously, was there not already a similar thread?

EDIT: Here we go. Yep, a month-and-a-half ago.

How do you think a Marvel Studios-produced TF film would turn out? (and more)

Er, I guess this particular topic has more to do with the franchise in general than just the movies...

+1

And I'm referring to Spider-Man 1 & 2, Iron Man 1 & 2, Thor, First Class, Captain America and (apparently) The Avengers-quality. Not Fantastic Four, X-Men 3 and Hulk quality.

Not one of those is a Marvel Studios film. Most of the ones you mentioned in your former list were.
