Megatron. The only good Galvatron is the IDW one, where not only is he a separate character, he's actually older than Megatron.

I like 86 movie Galvatron a lot and really wish he remained that way throughout the series, but as an overall character I prefer Megs.

In terms of G1 I like Galvatron alot. His design looked pretty and he had an awesome voice, well at least in the '86 movie. After that he really became stupid to me. As a whole I prefer Megatron, with Prime and Movie-verse being my favorites.

If we're talking the G1 Marvel Comics, I like both Galvatron and Megatron equally.
If we're talking every other continuity. then I prefer Megatron.

I love G1 Megatron and Galvatron, but then the characters to me were the ones portrayed in the UK comic. Megatron, the tyrannical warlord hellbent on conquest, Galvatron, his reformatted future self, perhaps upgraded, but unhinged in the process and by the time wars shenanigans.

Series, Megatron wins in an instant. Counting Movie Galvatron as a separate character then Movie Galvatron.

idk, galvatron has been growing on me in the g1 series. i love how he is totally insane! it's like the betrayal of starscream, plus the loss of unicron's control, has drove him entirely paranoid!

also to OOSnake's comment; Yes there is a galvatron that is NOT a recolor, Beast Wars 2 Galvatron. it is an awesome figure. idk about character as i still have yet to see the show :lol

G1, Galvatron was a better mech, better alt mode, more powerful but megatron was a better leader. So... meh they were basically the same guy although megatrons personallity in galvatrons body would be the best mix, which was basically what he was in the film at least.

I should've thought about that, I've seen a few episodes Of Beast Wars II, with Galvatron in them.

    I will take them both.

Galvatron is fine the way he is.

    Megatron should be a tank.

Now which Decepticons would be on their separate groups is another thread.
