A few more 720p eps have been posted. I'll post Operation Bumblebee Part 2 tomorrow, after I capture the 2nd broadcast of it tonight.

Torrents for Orion Pax Pt. 1 & Pt. 2
Note: I realize that DDL is preferable. I'm just doing this for the one crazy person that prefers torrents. :p

Forgive the newbie question: is 1080i better than 720p?

I was wondering this myself. Isn't essentially, 540 lines of resolution since every other line is cloned? 720p is exactly 720 lines of uncloned resolution, but is this something we can really see? I can't imagine there's a huge difference between 540 and 720 unless you have a very large screen that makes pointing out the differences that much easier...or am I wrong?

"p" (for Progressive) is better than "i" (for Interlaced)..

    A source encoded in 1080 (1920x1080) will have better resolution than 720 (1280x720). = more details/definition
Normaly, 1080p would be the best one..

By the end, I still prefer 720p to 1080i.

Here's a video that explain the difference:

kary: by the way, your 1080i videos are encoded in 1440x1080.
The Aspect ratio is not the right one = 1.333 (4:3 rez) but it supposed to be 1.777 for a 16:9 source (Widescreen) --> Weird..

By the end, it's working because VLC adjusts the video with the right ratio.. But if you inspect the file properties.. it still says 1440x1080 ;-)

    Your 720p videos are ok = +1 for 720p ;)

    Ya 1440x1080 is 1080i. 1920x1080 is 1080p

    From Wikipedia:

"HDV 1080i uses a resolution of 1440×1080 pixels, but is still displayed with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (like SD widescreen formats, it uses a pixel aspect ratio of 1.33 instead of 1.0). This means it has lower horizontal resolution than true 1080 HD formats (1920x1080). "

Edit: Sorry misread your post there. Not sure why the aspect ratio is changing to 4:3. I'll look into that.

It's ok, it displays in widescreen by the end...

    Didn't know that about 1080i.. It's like a SD in disguise --> that's the Transformers spirit :p

Project Bumblebee part 2 in 720 is running smoothly, but the 1080 version has major video glitches. Most of the time it's a simple green screen, and on some parts the picture flickers in and out, heavily pixelated.

Scratch that, it was issues on my end
