Considering he was the main antagonist of Beast Wars and lead the evil faction of the show, I'd say he's plenty like normal Megatron

So is G1 to the UT versions and to Animated, Movie, and Prime. They may of been Dcon leaders, but they are also diffterent characters in their own right. Prime's Megatron to G1 Megatron is like day to night difference.

If they said Megatron was locked in, it should of been all versions under the name. Not just one under one faction and skip over one of the greatest using the name.

Optimus Primal: "Slag, I never even made speeches that boring on our show."

BW Megs appeared alongside G1 Megatron. He took G1 Megatron's spark. He's in the same continuity as G1. BW Megatron is more than just a new version of Megatron for a new show.

This is what I wanted to ask before. When a character gets inducted, do all of its namesakes across continuites get inducted?

But as for BW Megatron vs other Megatrons, the other Megatrons were moreso incarnations of each other..they're all Decepticon leaders fighting on present day Earth against Prime and his autobots. BW Megatron on the other hand was clearly explained to be a decepticon descendant who took ON the name Megatron...he doesn't fit in the same category.

Plus he's in the same timeline as G1 cartoon series Megatron, that wouldn't even make sense to have him thrown in with G1 Megatron and therefore, the others. he wasn't an attempt at trying to portray that original villian.

EDIT: BW Megatron for Hall of Fame is a great move... Yesssssss.

Just being in the same continuity as G1 Megs isn't enough to designate a different spot in the HOF IMO

You know, I completely agree that this HOF thing should have separate Megatrons, but here's the difference to the argument at hand, at least IMO.

BW Megs and G1 Megs were essentially in the same continuity. They were in the same place, same "time." Obviously it's impossible to be the same character.

G1 Megs was not in the same place, same time as Armada Megs, Prime Megs, etc. Those Megatrons that followed G1 Megs are different characters, but fulfilling identical character arcs, or close to it. That's probably Hasbro's justification.

This is all invalid because I feel Megatron =/= all Megatrons.

But given BW Megatron did take the spark of G1 Megatron and kept it until the war was over, woudn't that meant the two were the same for a short time as both sparks where in one body?

I gotta admit, BW Megatron is my most favorite villain in Transformers!

If the voting is the same as last year's, I'm definitely going to have to split my votes between Swindle and BW Megatron.

I'm sorry Rattrap/Scott, but Energon is thicker than Oil...

As a former Decepticon now Predacon, I'm formally changing my vote to BW Megatron:

Is there a common Sig pic for such a cause?
