The thing is, Steve is not a drone, all other Vehicons were created in his image. Steve is Vehicon zero. Steve is so bad ass that when he chose his vehicle mode on Earth, he chose the Batmobile.

I'm not sure how many nominations we can throw in so here are my top 3.

    #1- Steve
    #2- Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime
    #3- Devastator

I don't know where "Steve" came from either. But, apparently, they're saying he was the first Eradicon.

    & I like who you're Nominating. :thumb

He had a pretty big year this year...

Don't see very much support here for him. Before you vote, ask yourself who is a more iconic character in Transformers? Minerva? Swindle?...or Laserbeak? I will admit he is not in Wheeljack's class, but I think Laserbeak's character in DOTM is a lot cooler than Wheeljack/Que's was.

Still backing Sky-Byte, but I'm now throwing in a vote for Swindle/Minerva. I at least want to see them in the five final nominees.

I'd just like to say for all of you out there who are calling it blasphemy to vote for a drone? You seriously think voting for a character because his name and profession is a potshot to the TFCC for all these credit card problems is any better? I don't have a thing against Minerva, more power to her. But I don't think this whole swindle business is any better than the whole erector the giant dick joke fiasco last year. If your going to vote for someone, vote for them because you like the character, not because your pissed at the TFCC for credit card problems. And I'm not defending the TFCC either, I haven't been very happy with them lately as well. And people have every right to be mad about the credit card issues. But I don't think it's right to make swindle a scapegoat for people's anger. Frankly, I think it's a little immature.

With that said, vote overlord, tarantulas, and Steve the eradicon HOF2012! :thumb

Add me to the Black Convoy-sam- I mean, RID Scourge supporters list! The RID series definitely deserves some recognition this year.

I'd be happy with a fembot nomination too. Maybe Nightbird, Elita-One or Arcee. The females also deserve some recognition.

Swindle is no scapegoat, nor is voting for him immature.

I'd also like to mention that having a serious discussion about which fictional toy robot character to get inducted into a Hall of Fame for fictional toy robot characters is hardly the most mature of things. If I wanted to be mature, I'd go and do my taxes. Can we have some fun with this, please?

Minerva showed up in two separate shows, mangas, the universe comic series, and a series of repaints and nods, most recently at last year's Botcon. She's an enduring character and if anything she's only getting more popular these days.

Look, just because the Japanese G1 shows aren't well known doesn't mean they haven't made a contribution. If anything, that they aren't well known is all the more reason to nominate characters from them and help them finally get the attention they richly deserve.

I think the problem in a lot of cases is that a character's "obscurity" is on an exponential curve, depending on when someone started getting into transformers. Many fans tend to be very knowledgeable about the shows that made them a fan, be it G1, Beast Wars, AEC or the movies, but much much less so about material outside of that time period.

Swindle will do your taxes for you, for a modest fee.

FINALLY Grimlock and Jazz get the respect! For my fan vote, I nominate the first true femme fatale of the franchise, Black Arachnia.

I dunno, you could argue that Mega from Masterforce was a femme fatale before she was....

    Mega - Transformers Wiki

Though Blackarachnia IS a great and enduring character.
