Movieverse Megatron and Starscream both suck, they are some of the most incompetent and the least imitating villains ever and their designs are atrocious.
Movieverse Optimus Prime is an amoral asshole, much more than Kratos from God of War and M.D. Geist combined. Rodimus Prime is a way better leader.
The Movieverse is the worst thing to happen to the franchise since Transformers: Energon and Kiss Players, and Dark of the Moon is as abysmal as RotF.
Movieverse Wheelie is way more annoying than his G1 namesake
Michael Bay is bigger hack that Pat Lee. At least Pat Lee had an iota of artistic merit.

Revenge of The Fallen is one of my favorite movies ever.

I think Michael Bay is incredibly good at specific aspects of filmmaking and is a great choice to helm the live action franchise.

Movieverse Starscream is my favorite version of the character.

The G1 cartoon is just as randomly idiotic at times as the live action movies. That does not make either one bad.

Prime is the best Transformers TV show since Beast Wars, and is on pace to be the best overall.

 

Hasbro needs to make more movieverse Bumblebee.

Really? Here it goes. Beast Wars sucks. Everything about it sucks (But for some reason did not mind Beast Machines but that doesn't change that Beastformers sucks). Animated is garbage. Cannot stand the designs, the show, and the voices. LOVE the live action movies, especially ROTF and Michael Bay rules for making them awesome again. Cannot stand Legends/cyberverse figures. Waste of plastic. LOVE Titaniums. Die cast always a win for me. G1 headmasters are lame. Don't like Unicron as a god. I like that a mad genius created him and I have no opinion on the Unicron Trilogy. PHEW! Finally got that off my chest. Good night.

Even though I disagree with about 95% of what you said, it still takes a real man to say that, lol

-G1 Megatron should never be reissued in the US, mainly due to his trigger crotch ( and the US toy gun laws)
-I like the Power Core Combiner concept, since it proved that Combiners aren't dead
-Movie Optimus is too bloodthirsty, Movie Megatron is a wussy
-Rumble is Blue, Frenzy is Red
-alot of the G1 Season 3 Characters where pale replacents to the pre- Movie Autobots
-Thundercracker and Skywarp need more character development
-I don't understand the Scourge debate. G1 came first, dang it
-Chris Sacchrani (?) was a horrible TF writer
-Beast Machines was ahead of it's time thematically, and maybe should have been on another network
-Armada was rushed, should have been given more time to animate/ translate

-Nemesis Prime is a way more appropriate name for the Black Turquoise Prime than Scourge is
-All Hail Megatron was the best Transformers series in ages
-Dreamwave's story and art was excellent, and probably my favorite interpretation of G1 (so far anyway)
-Bumblebee has been more interesting since the Bayverse changed him into an action hero (despite me missing his voice)
-Takara versions are not always better than the Hasbro versions (Henkei's addition of chrome parts was stupid and unnecessary)

 

Oh, and RiD Prime versions of Optimus and Cliffjumper are in some ways more visually accurate to the Toon than the First Editions, and in no way are they worse toys.

And one more and i'll stop (probably, my memory's total crap): Armada was epic, I think that Mech-Tech is a failed experiment, the twins from ROTF were abominations that deserve to get devoured by Unicron, Shattered Glass is epic concept and should be made into a cartoon, we need more Nemesis Prime, and I want more fembots dang it!

 

Guys, "the movieverse sucks" and ""movie-Optimus is a bloodthirsty maniac and movie-Megatron is a wuss" aren't unpopular opinions not in a billion years, half of the fanbase thinks that, same goes for "I like Michael Bay" "Movieverse is good", the other half of the fanbase thinks that.

I like 2/3 of the Movie trilogy.
I like Movie Prime, but only because of how over the top he is.
I think S3 of G1 was better then S1 and 2.
I like half of the 2012 Botcon boxset.

 

I agree with most of these. Arcee was a pointless character who served no purpose except to appease a subset of people. Megatron having a gun alt mode is just silly. Yes, it makes perfect sense for him to transform into a gun and allow himself to be wielded by Starscream, who could then just destroy him (the fact that he didn't is another silly thing)   Not to mention the fact that he already had a cannon that was just as effective as his alt-mode.

I LOVE the IDW comics and I do like Beast Wars. I thought Sideswipe's Spotlight was incredibly lame, and will forever be disappointed in it.

I will also add that I never got into Animated and I tried. I thought it was completely unwatchable.

I prefer the "boxy" look of G1 to the Movieverse incarnations and nothing will convince me otherwise.

I think G1 Megatron's toy looks ridiculous and I snicker everytime I see it! The whole trigger crotch thing is amusing and I just can't take it seriously. Another argument against the whole Gun alt-mode thing.

I also felt like Skywarp and TC did not get nearly the love they deserve and were overshadowed a bit too much by Starscream.
