Unpopular Opinions

I loved Beast Machines in general (be it as a show or sequel), and while I never got into the movies, I really learned to appreciate the style used on the characters & toys.

Along with that, I also think Bombshock is a great figure (I'm more than cool with the fact that I paid 30 bucks for it at Zellers) & that a lot of 3rd party stuff is overrated as hell.

Beast Wars was the single worst and most ridiculous concept & series ever made even compared to A/E/C, and nowhere near as "brilliant" as people like to make it sound in hindsight.

The WFC/FOC designs don't hold a candle to the War Within designs - especially the Seekers.

WFC was only a decent game at best.

Primus is one of the single most retarded things to ever happen to TF lore.

Diaclone is probably the most overrated toy lines ever.

G2 and its neon colored nonsense was anything BUT awesome.

Virtually every single thing about IDW is terrible. Just... terrible.

Fembots have no place in Transformers cannon, and Arcee was nothing but a giant stereotypical cookie cutter mistake on Hasbro's part of ever introducing.

Furman should have retired from writing umpteen years ago.

G1 Megatron having a pistol alt mode always was and always will be one of the stupidest concepts ever.

The original Marvel comics weren't even 5% as awesome, cool or "smart" as people make them out to be.

The Stunticons are easily one of the worst combiner group ideas ever, followed closely by Terrorcons & Seacons.

Head/Target/Powermasters were a giant conceptual mistake.

Bludgeon sucks.

Ultra Magnus never was and never will be just an albino Prime with "armor" no matter how much they try to retroactively make him so.

iGear is nothing but a straight-up seedy KO outfit that should have never been given any legitimate acknowledgment whatsoever, let alone referred to as a "third party company".

No matter how badly/desperately people try to spin it, the live action movies were a storytelling nightmare with more holes than a strainer. And to be fair, the same goes for the G1 cartoon.

Hasbro should never be talked about or defended like they're just some small independent company trying to make its way and "doing whatever they can" for long time collectors. It's beyond ridiculous.

"Trans4mers" is about the dumbest wordplay ever made when talking about a 4th movie.

David Kaye's BW Megatron is hands down the most awful voice ever put to a TF series, and Hugo Weaving's movie Megatron sounded no more unique or menacing than any random guy taken off the street to say the same lines.

-G1 Prowl, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker are boring characters and I don't get why people like them.

-First Edition Prime Arcee is a shitty figure.

-First Edition Prime Vehicon looks crappy.

-Most of iGear's stuff looks crappy.

-TFC Hercules is overrated and overhyped as hell.

Also, I think Optimus Primal is the best "Optimus".

Miko is the best Prime human.

Furman is not as good as people make him out to be.

Michael Bay is not the devil.

I do not like the FE toys.

The movies suck. Especially the sequels.
Dark of the Moon is just as crappy as ROTF.
TF Prime sucks, writing wise.
Prime Megatron and Soundwave are not great characters.
Waspinator is just annoying.
Beast Machines is one of the better TF shows.
Transformers toys suck.

I don't think there is much merit to be had in the G1 cartoon. It really isn't much more then a giant commercial with cheap production values. Even if it was the standard for the eighties, it is terribly corny. I will never get full enjoyment from the series.

The Dinobots are asinine. The only design I like is Swoop, and maybe Grimlock. The idea of Dinosaur Transformers really does not appeal to me, and their little talking gimmick will forever remain one of the most annoying things I have ever seen.

iGear will ocassionally come out with good stuff, but the majority of what they produce is either:
A. Nothing really notable.
B. A straight up knock-off.
Their Seekers will piss me off indefinitely. I don't care if they "were giving fans what they want". That's bullshit. They made themselves a pretty penny off another companies design, and for that alone, I will never truly give my full fledged support to their company.

Animated was only OK.

Beast Wars has never been able to capture my attention.

I don't give a flying monkey about the last wave of DOTM being cancelled stateside.

I think Prime is probably the best cartoon to have come from Transformers thus far. (You can get all kind's of shit for saying this one.)

The first classics series doesn't have that many great molds. Classics/Universe 2.0 for that matter doesn't have that many great molds. Generations is the best thus far.

WFC really wasn't that great of a game. It had a fun art style, but ultimately, it comes off as mediocre. A nice nod to the fans, to be sure, but as far as games go... it leaves plenty to be desired.

FOC Bruticus look's freaking awesome. (It's popular right now to hate on him.)
