If you look around for anything, you can always find it cheaper then the going rate.
Good luck with that. They are taking orders for something that has been out of print for years. They will take your money, give you nothing, and hope you don't ask for the money back.

It's not that rare. This always happens on amazon. Something goes out of print and immediately amazon sellers jack their prices up to some ridiculous number, counting on the one idiot who will panic and pay whatever they ask. Then, often, regular Amazon (not the sellers) will get more copies of the book in, of course selling for normal retail price, and the amazon sellers rein their prices back in.

I've seen this happen dozens of times with various books I've been interested in. Happens a lot with comic book TPBs.

This is exactly what happened on Amazon with the All Spark allamac volume 2 , after the first printing was sold out the prices got jacked up to Primus , and then when the second printing was released the prices fell again. I got my copies after the prices fell.

It's NOT selling for $200 - it's sitting on Amazon at the ridiculous price of $200, like so many, many insanely-priced Amazon seller items, and nobody's buying it at that price.

I wish I could remember what thread it was. But optimusfan posted that someone bought his on Amazon for $150. It might have been an isolated incident. But it proves that there are people out there stupid enough to pay the price.
