I always wanted to get Towline and Skidz. Something about them was cool. RID had a ton of Autobots though and I couldn't afford them.

I think it's awesome that Optimus finally goes Super Saiyan in this scene. Really underrated series and I forget a lot of cool stuff that happened in it.

 

I swear that lady is like the Waspinator of the series. Seems like she's always in that wrong place when something is going down.

 

I started with Beast Wars when I was eight years old back in 1996. So RID was the first time I really ever saw Autobots and later Decepticons in action. Even after all this time, RID Scourge is still my favorite Decepticon.

 

I just noticed this thread up here...so I'll ask my question here as well and stop bumping my post.

Does anyone have the MALAYSIAN RID DVD BOX SET? "The Perfect Collection." It is a 2 disc, region free set. I have been trying to find info on if it is any good or not to no avail. If anyone can provide some information on what the quality is like and whether it works in most DVD players, I appreciate it.

then yes, I have it. Despite the shiny holographic sticker on the front which would indicate this is an official release, it doesn't feel official. It's not poor, it's just a bit "meh". I mean, it does what it needs to but the menu is a bit crap and there are no chapters to speak of (when navigating in episode you literally can only move to the next episode, nothing in between) and the imagery used within the case is obscure... for instance; does anyone know where this comes from???



The picture quality and sound is adequate. Would I buy it again? Yes, I would, it does capture all the episodes in one place but just don't expect anything in the way of frills or special features.

Thanks for the info! That is what I was looking for. All I want is the episodes in good quality on DVD, don't need any frills, so I'll have to pick one of these up when I get a chance.

Would it be possible to include the BotCon 2002 exclusive Cyclonus toy to the RIDforever site? I know he wasn't released as RID, but since he was pretty much Cryotek's lackey in the BotCon Wreckers comics, shouldn't that count as something RID related?

Also, for the Korean Car Bot section, I noticed there was no mention of Gigatron Z, which is a reissued version of Beast Wars II Galvatron, so if you could look into that. Here is his packaging

I picked these up at TFCon... model sheets for the Commandos.
I had to have them because I love the Combaticons and these are actual toy-accurate animation models, as opposed to the heavily modified ones used in the G1 show.
