If it was an American cartoon I would be kind of shocked but with it being a Japanese cartoon I'm not shocked at all. Different nations different standards.

Plus the series was a little crazy to being with, could you imagine a female bot on Transformers Prime doing the Thunderblast transformation with the hearts and everything?

Seriously? We see guys, even in toons, without shirts on. Why is this so naughty? Nope, not a big deal. They aren't declaring, hey, here's her nipples, she's so bad. It's not even dirty. It's illogical, they're robots, so effectively shouldn't require nipples... I guess it could be where they plug in their jumper cables, but that's neither here nor there.

Absolutely agreed. This is why *I* voted yes - there's nothing wrong here. It most likely is something that you'd need a freeze frame to detect. And even when i stared at your screencap, it took me about a minute to realize what you were talking about. And are little kids checking everyone out to see if they can see boobs? Not like 13yo's do...

To be sensible, yes, certain material should not be shown during the daytime and aimed at little kids. If Mako Crab is right, it seems the animators were just lazy and they were able to skate by b/c it was such a short frame. I personally have never seen that before, so it is shocking slightly.

On the other hand, I'm assuming the character wasn't really sexualized or made to be deviant in any way-- had that been the case, thereby drawing attention to said robo-boobs, there probably would've been more of an outcry.

So inappropriate? Yes perhaps, but not so egregious as to warrant any real action.

I remember when this was like all that anyone talked about. I still get creeped out when it's brought up.

There's always one guy who trys to play it cool, brings up the "it's not so bad, they're just robots" thing and trys to rationalize it completely ignoring that no matter how you paint it the fact is the animators put nipples on a robot girl's boobs in a kid's show. That. Is. Creepy.

 

Well, when I see this picture, I see Thunderblast wearing a wet yellow-orange shirt of some kind over her chest armor. Provocative, but not really dirty, at least in my opinion.
