I think for Kickback's purposes, he meant an Optimus Prime, beast convoys don't cut it.

Though black lio convoy is something of a trendsetter.

 

Can't forget Scourge's trailer. It had bling before bling was even blinging.
It had more firepower than most of Prime's trailers.

Scourge was so badass , he did'nt even use it.

 

As a die hard fan of Scourge I approve of this!

 

Its gonna happen, the G2 upgrades set will help Hasbro and vice versa...

Chances are, because of Generations Scourge, if we get him, he'll be called Nemesis Prime.

I don't have any personal attachment though, since RID was the one series that I skipped.

 

Things I like about (RiD) Scourge:

* Not a standard 'evil clone'. If nothing else, he's a complex 'evil clone'.

* Prefers blood red to hot pink.

* Unlike a certain other Scourge and many Nemesii, no Unicron connection.

* Wears Decepticon symbols over "Takara was too cheap to clear the G2 Autobot symbol off the disks, so let's flip 'em!"

* Wields a mean broom.

* Has those distinctive "angry" markings on the shoulders and chest windows, not seen on any Nemesissy. (would be nice to see that applied to the RTS mold somehow, perhaps covering over that pesky matrix thing.)

* The only "Black Convoy" with an original mold to himself. Optimus Prime was a repaint of him! He officially applied Chuck Norris rules to toy repaints.

 

Not only am I not a fan of him being named Scourge, but I prefer his Takara colors over the Hasbro. Hot pink windows and upside down Autobot stickers are more interesting imo. (the fact that his stickers are silver instead of flat white also helps)

Just imagine the rage from people in this thread if Scourge/Nemesis Prime ends up a Botcon exclusive instead of standard release. People HAVE been begging for a RID Botcon for a few years... Of course if it's Botcon, the chances of him being called Scourge go up significantly.

 

Speaking of which, this makes me wanna do up one of those "Jesus Loves Me" mugs in a Scourge appropriate fashion.


However about the names, I think it's safe to say that both Scourge & Nemesis are among the best words in the English language (along with Harlot & Vanquish), so there're really no losers in that battle. Well, maybe Motormaster, but mainly because it's so close to "Motomaster", and that's not even a comparison that many fans will get.

One thing I want to add: I don't care what the toy will be called unless it is actually made. It doesn't matter if they call him Scourge or Nemesis Prime, you can call him whatever you want and you can get the correct faction symbols you need from reprolabels. So I think everyone will be fine. They just need to do the repaint.
