I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be. The movies have been a huge success and brought a lot of attention back to the franchise.

Well, I personally think that the live Transformers movies were both really really bad movies. I know that I'm in the minority when it comes to the first movie. But there's a lot of people who thought that the second Transformers movie wasn't very good.

Your mileage may vary as far as the movies go, but this particular question is not even up for debate. He deserves it beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Yes. As I said in my frontpage post, he took the series and made it into a phenomenon. Transformers now is the biggest it has been since 1984 and it's all thanks to Michael Bay for getting the series back into the public consciousness again.

Im gonna throw this in here that we are not talking about the movies we are talking about Bay and wether in your opinion he did a better job than someone else could have.
I can't see your point.
Most of the posts on this thread have said "Regardless of the quality of the movie.." in the beginning, we ARE talking about EXACTLY what Bay did here.

Transformers The Animated Movie sucked yet we don't say G1 sucked.

All franchises have their problems, man, they all have.

No, you asked does he belong in the HoF.

Simple answer is yes. It doesn't matter who we could've got or what your persona feelings are on the films themselves, we got him, and he and Hasbro banded togetehr to make probably one of the most, if not the most, wildly successful Transformers line in the franchise's history, and that most assuredly deserves recognition in the HoF. Copy/Paste (albiet to a slightly lesser extent due to less creative input) for Steve.

Of course. Both movies, from a critical point of view, were generally pretty bad, ROTF being much worse. The point most of us have is that because of him and his movies, Transformers is much bigger now than it ever had been.
made lots of new friends
got a bit sick, a bit shot
having a pretty wonderful time

Really? I think that the original animated movie was far superior to the live movies. It wasn't perfect, but it's one of my favorite movies of all time.

I agree, but to a non-TF fan I can see how it can be considered a bad movie.
