Discuss. It popped into my head as I saw that custom, and thought the blue TRANSMETAL 2 DRAGON mode is... odd, for a cybertron native predacon, and that came to me, if megatron/others dealt with Cryotek before the time loop could begin, maybe there's a "real" cryotek, that they hadn't seen the body of very well elsewhere, NOT involved with the beast war time loop.
We-ell, he only has the dragon mode 'cause he copies it from Megatron after he returns from the Beast Wars...
but, why copy megatron's returned form? is he "nemesis megatron"? why can't the toy/ golden disc thief version just be a cryogeniclly frozen, but still online and thriving megatron himself? (surviving the flight back to cybertron through the emptiness of space, still getting back early, and getting UPGRADED from falling into lava show megatron's stronger than it seems, and his melodramatic side could indicate he was an (aspiring?) actor with Dinobot back on cybertron.) cryotek himself may have been doing something else when "he" would have been in the beast war instigator phase.
Hrn, reading up on him, he DID copy the form... but, maybe megatron met himself and tipped him off to the trap, enhancing the young one's plans before becoming subject to cryotek's Knock off move while he created vehicons...
He's Megatron's mentor. Megatron's whole idea for stealing the Golden Disk came from beating Cryotek to the punch. Before he took Megatron's TM2 form, he had a body similar to Energon Shockblast. This is all pretty well documented.
It's an interesting theory. It seems to fail but it could have been a cool story had the writers known how things would turn out. Then again since I'm not a fan of Machines I think I'm glad this idea doesn't hold water.
